Random Chat, let face it. u can post about anything there. thats too much. we need to split that into different topics so we can be more organized. here are mine:

Movies And Books
World News
Sports
Debates
Random Chat (for all other stuff not above)

thats all i can think of but if u think of anymore put them here. i just think itd be a good idea to split it up.

Splitting forums is almost always a bad idea.

Ask yourself if it is necessary.

Do you see a TON of threads on the front page all about the same subject. Books? Religion? Movies? News? No. There are a couple threads about each subject, and occasionally more of one, but so far there hasn't been a subject that takes up Random Chat so much that we NEED a new forum.

And if we don't need a new forum, we aren't going to make a new forum.

Hi. This is a board designed for the discussion of dancing games, not random crap. So long as this board is designed for the discussion of dancing games, one random forum is more than enough.

I will bet you Random Chat is more frequented than any of the DDR Forums Iggy, by more frequented I basically mean there's more relevent content than the eighteenth posting of "which is your favorite song on DDR Whatever mix?". But it's really not too general at all. By the time the stuff ont eh first page is gone it's really not commented in so splitting it up would keep dead threads floating about. That's just no fun.

and what happens when you split a forum and you end up with an item that is borderline

it kecks kicked back and forth

one forum i go to decided its random forum was too busy so they made two

more or less for the exact same thing but the mods boucne stuff back and forth and then lock it for beign inthe wrong space (phantom locks too)

so lets not split up something that already works right
