Putters has it preordered and I am happy. <3
Am I the only D-code fanboy? Perhaps I'm the only fan of the old Adult Swim still around. |

Nah, I had mixed emotions when I first heard the AS song on ITG2. And by mixed I mean a mix of surprise, joy, and more surprise. Oh, and a little more joy. |

You're DEFINITELY not the only D-Code fan around. That song is starting to really jump up the playlist at The Break. Jeff (Hispanic Guy) is totally in love with it. And once some of us saw the steps for it on Singles Expert, it got even more people liking it. And we all make Adult Swim jokes about it too... "You're gonna carry that weight!" "Kids, out of the pool!" "Anime is teh s uck." Thing is we all seem to really like it. Personally, I think the use of the 1/24th notes on it is GREAT. They follow the quick little trumpet parts for 4-6 notes at a time, and then there's the part with the back and forth gallops (UD-UR-UD-UR-UD-UR) at the.. sax part, I believe. Trust me, it goes great. It's a 10 and it's FUN.
In fact, after getting some more exposure to it, I'm liking all the Dust Devil stuff, even though at first I really didn't. The patterns on One False Move Expert Single got me, and Determinator... violin solo + run = OMFG. _________________

I'm too lazy to edit my post.
Amore's steps are rather nice on Hard Singles. No Expert Singles YET.
Bumblebee's interesting on Expert. There's a bit of 1/16th note usage, but for most of the song, it really reminds me of DDR with the patterns, except there's holds as well.
Temple of Boom just begs to be played, but it seems to be getting less action of late as people are going away from the really popular songs and checking out the rest of the music.
Summer... The Expert is sick. SICK. SICK!!! Basically, take the big run from Delirium or Pandemonium. Make THREE of them. Put two of them almost back to back. There's a truckload of steps (~760, IIRC), and a lot of them are in 1/16th note runs. Thing is, no one seems to want to play it on Hard because the Expert is a 13.
Any other stuff people wanna know? I'll try and get reviews of the steps for any given charts if at all possible. _________________

Sunshine Expert is freaking HARD for a 10. There's alot of 16ths in there that feel pretty unnecessary... lots of xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx-xxxxxxx. It felt like a harder version of Touch Me. It's a very fun step of steps even though a lot of the 16ths aren't follow anything.
The cut is... odd. It feels weird that the middle "interlude" section is so short when your used to the DDR version. There's a few weird hands, but not many, and there's hardly any mines at all from what I remember. |
