I usually go to the arcade with my boyfriend...in fact, that was where we asked each other out (I'll skip the story lol). In the beginning I could totally pwn him, but now we're pretty much dead even.

I tried introducing my one friend to DDR, but she played 2 songs on Beginner then quit because she was too tired. She said she also looked like an idiot.

My friend Jason introduced me to DDR (i had played a little bit before) a few months ago and we try to get in some DDR each week. He got a pad and Ultramix 2 at Christmas time, and ever since we have either played on his XBox or have gone to the arcade when we find ourselves with extra quarters.

Me and my buddy play Ultramix of and on at his place and he is so much better than me it is not funny. But we both have a good time and he has realized the exercise potental to DDR with Ultramix so now he is doing it more often. His girlfriend just started to try it last sunday night when I left for work. Not sure how she did but soon all my roomies will play. HAHAHA, DDR will consume all.

That's messed up. Instead of schooling him all the time (trust me, that was how I was too) try and teach him to get better.

Oh yeah. I have a friend who I play DDR with. I tought him how to play, and he got better than me for a while. But now, were pretty much even, but some songs he is better at (Paranoia Survivor, but he never passed it yet), and some songs (like So Deep) I am better at. We both can do almost any 9 footers, and all 8 footers, and a few 10 footers, were both the same age too, (13). This post is gonna make me call him, to go to the arcade today. I feel like playing right now.

Up here at college, there is a small group of us who play DDR, one of them being the best in my state (see: Ruzel). It's really fun to go to the arcade and hang out together. However, back home, none of my friends like to play DDR, and the nearest arcade is an hour away, so when I go to that, I'm either playing alone or with people I don't know. However, I'm a fairly social person, so I tend to get along with just about anyone. ^__^ However, I had an issue with some people telling me that Paranoia Survivor Max Oni was a 12.5 footer... but that's a different story altogether.

my friends never play ddr i know a few people though who play once in a while but are far from as dedicated as iam. like this kid i know who has been playing a little over a year plays on standard and some songs on heavy and my somewhat of a friend josh bought ultramix for x-box he only plays on light mode but i think he probably already quit. i've only been playing for 6 months and i play 9's and 10,s. i play an awful lot but not lately i've been getting a little bored of it but that happens once in awhile i'll probably play for like 2 hours straight in 2 days. oh yeah my friend jake plays with me when i use the controller, he has like 3 double a's on light and i think one or two a's on standard but it was spin the disc which is flipping easy.

Im like a 7-8, my friend is like a 8-10, he is very good althoug his stamina isnt that great his arrow reading is excellent, he can do just about any song, and if he can't its just b/c of the lack of stamina or not being able to get to the arrows fast enough. Me well my stamina is ok, but my arrow reading is what gets me

i took my friend to our local ddr place when i was still on light and he was on standard/heavy (he'd just gotten it for xmas '04.) he got hooked and decided to get really serious with it, and then his seriousness made me get serious and i bought the game this february. he was waaay ahead of me at first, but i just recently surpassed him in skill. we're partners of sorts. we working on our pad-switching tricks and the like. heh.

*Tries to revive thread* I introduced most of my friends into DDR. I only have one that is almost to my level but not quite. She is the only one who will play DDR with me at the arcade and at school when we have the chance to. I have a lot of friends that play DDR that are much better than me that play at the arcade everyday and have been playing longer than me. I'm playing on eight and nine footers at the moment but I will hopefully get better. My boyfriend plays DDR as well, he says he's quiting but he isn't. -.- I'm better than him though. *points and laughs* E9.gif

My brother and I play DDR together consistently and the compitition has always been close but this story is about how he can totally beast Tsugaru on Heavy (9 footer) and I can totally beast Tsugaru Apple Mix (9 foot challenge) so now when someone tells us to play Tsugaru it becomes a race to see who can get to their version first happy.gif

My girlfriend got me playing when she was doing songs at about 5 feet. Three months later, she's on 7-8 footers, and I'm on Max300.

She hates me now frown.gif

Back when my Gameplex was still open, I had plenty of friends who played all the time. But now I have just 1 or 2 main people I play DDR with regulary.

My friend Justin is not as fast as I am on the pads, but he can do spins devil.gif
He's gettin' me to now, after almost a year and a half, to start up doing doubles. Even though he's on light, he mops the floor with me on that dual evil... E12.gif
