I have a few specific tracks that I placed in my DWI song directory so I could practice my reading of notes better. Among them, Orion .78 (Ameuro Mix), So Deep (Perfect Sphere Remix), Justify My Love, and a few others...

As a note, I only checked all this on Heavy...haven't looked at Standard or Light mode versions.

Anyway, I was testing out the reading on them and everything seemed to be going fine until I tried running Justify My Love. Definitely the same song...but the note patterns in the middle and end are completely different than what I'm used to seeing on the MAX2 machine at our movie theatre. There are some insane freeze notes that just linger forever on there in place of the L-R-DownFreeze, R-L-DownFreeze sets.

Is there a different steplist for this song depending on what mix it's on? And if so, are there other tracks that have the same deal? Just curious. Any info would be appreciated.

No, but there's nothing to stop someone from making up their own edit for it. Either your dwi got corrupted, or that's what you have.

where did you get your files from? it's possible that you don't have the official songs. Now there are some songs that won't match up. Like the steps to Paranoia Eternal for stepmania, DDR Extreme (arcade) and DDR Extreme (USA home version) don't match up at all. Check and see if you have someone's edit or the official. Ok?
