I tried to start a new thread in the Other Music Games forum, and I was able to preview, and submit. After submitting it did the whole "click here to view your thread"--but then after the redirect said "no topic exists." I was able to reply to another thread, so I tried to start the new thread again--same problem. Any ideas? There were no weird characters in the subject line or anything like that (unless you need to escape quotation marks), so I don't know what the problem was. I guess we'll see if this thread works.

ETA: This is the link it generates, I just tried it again:

Edit2: Okay, it worked this time...I hit "back", took out the quotes in the subject, and hit "preview"--and it submitted it, and worked. Very confusing. Still, there are other threads with quotes in the subject, so what's going on? I'm still curious.

Just as an aside... this is the second time I've heard this happen.

I had this issue with the Contributor board the other day. The first time I had forgotten to add a poll to a new submission and stopped it before it finished the submission process and added the poll. When I sent it again, it did the "click here to view your thread" after the redirect said "no topic exists."

When I went back to the forum, my topic wasn't there, so I tried it again and did the whole "no topic exists" again. I told Jason about it, he did a test post, then I tried again, changing the title on it for the third attempt, it posted fine.

Rychan's problem sounds like a victim of the DB caching. I suspect the OP's problem is as well.

Just a guess.

We have figured out the problem and are looking into it.

Thanks.
