Actually not true... our minds have the abillity to speculate stuff like this... of course it's only speculation, we wouldn't really know for sure... unless it's like water and air, which it's easy to figure out what would have happened!

Without DDR
Damn I have a list! Let me speak my mind....
1. No Hand/Eye coordination improvment
2. Not meeting some cool people that play DDR
3. Never noticing Lazer Park to be my salvation to escape the idiocty of the world
4. Being shallow and dumb as some girls I know around my way.
5. Be richer
6. This site would be non-existant to me
7. Would be a lone wolf
8. Not having the confidence and charm that I have when I play it and freestyle especially when girls are watching....
9. My Life would be in a way insignificant..
Well that's my list if DDR never existed....

How would you of came up of the idea? We wouldn't know it had to exist if you know what i mean (like back to the future theories) Not very easy.
I'd be fat, bored, twidling my fingers on some dual shock 2 game, on the computer all day hacking into networks.
No DDR, no money for konami, no money to make BeatMania GF/DM, or those cool games, no of those games, no money, no konami!
