i perfer the arcade because i can get free games there anyway and there is never a long line since the place is always deserted and the tourists will some times come in to watch.

i have 2 home mats and i dont like them at all. i do use the bar for songs like tsugaru but i dont rape, and playing for a long time at home pisses people off (noise).

i also dont like the mats and i dont have enough money to buy a cobalt flux mat.

The only way home would be better than the arcade would be if you had your own DDR machine at home, and a lot of friends over...This would be better because it eliminates the little annoying kid in the arcade that wants to steal your tokens or talk to you while you're playing or whatever annoying things little kids and stupid people do (sorry, I know this is a run-on sentence, and I'm just making it worse, by adding this, but I'm too lazy to fix it).

I like the arcade way more. There are so many new peoples to hang out with and my pad at home is pretty ghetto. . . the down arrow no longer works.

Arcade for...uh... a crapload of reasons:
1.Metal pads
2.Awesome players who help you out
3.Able to get crowds of about 20 or more at places like OC (Ocean City for you non-Marylanders, big tourist attraction)
4.Easy to show off
And finally!
5.People who reimburse you if you try a song that they suggested and failed.

I have crap pads now, but I should be getting Cobalt Flux, and anyway, I can't decide. They both have their Pros and Cons.

I like the arcade cause its got a good vibe. when i get there im like in a trance and i'll play for hours. only problem is that there are olny 4 machines around all of which about 20 miles away and there so so. sometimes the arrows just like wont work for like 3 seconds and you fail. i like the home version more cause i've passed almost all the 9 footers and i try em at the arcade and i fail. then they laugh at me... frown.gif but then i go home, almost AA tsugaru and i feel pretty good. biggrin.gif

Arcade. I got pads, never use them. Unless you got the metal ones, doing it at home is worth nothing.

When I go to the arcades, I get in the vibe, I love the competion and trash talk. THe guys who I sahll one day beatm and just falling on the floor after two hours of dancing and a old guys looks at you woundering what happend.

I'd probably like the arcade more if it weren't for the lack of quality machines around here.

On the one I used to go to all the time, one pad has its up arrow not working, and versus mode has suddenly broken. (If you select it, it resets the game, and you lose your money.)

Of the other two machines near me...one is just crap. (South Hills Village Mall, anyone?) And the other, while not bad, drives me crazy. The coin machine gets stuck all the time, and someone in the mall put sticky tape on the arrows. (It may be a bit safer, but it gets really annoying when you tend to keep your feet low.)

You know I like the Arcade pads I mean WTFs up with the foam pads some times they don't even respond to your beat it gets me so pissed of frust.gif and their a lot smaller while the arcade pads stay in one stop and don't move the home pad move all over the place and it just makes the game play alot better with all the lights riiight.gif

Arcade definetely cuz it has the metal pad and thats the way its meant to be played. Home is really only good if u want to practice a song a bunch of times or something.
