I'm usually chilling out with my friend playing regular video games when the option for DDR comes up. I being the true fanatic I am accept and I usually school him but he gets an occasional better score than me. When he does this, I have to force myself to turn my "AAA" Game on and just beat the snot out of him in a song that he can't do. The whole process is us picking songs that contain our weaknesses. It's a great friendship based on sweat, double cheeseburgers, Gatorade, and importantly, DDR.

Got any stories about playing with your friends?

I have a freind to whom I introduced DDR to, about the time I was doing easy 7-footers... by the time I got in to doing harder 7-footers, he was already doing songs like sakura (In heavy)....

Kathleen and I play... she isn't all that good, and I'm LH, but we still have a good time despite the experience gap.

Well me and my friend Jon go to the arcade occasionally. Except I always wanna go to the arcade and he never wants to. Even though hes a really good ddr player somewhere around upper 8's lower 7's. It sucks not always having someone in the arcade to go to the arcade with but its usually me and him that go when i can get him to cold.gif

My boyfriend is incredibly better than me (although my scores aren't too shabby in and of themselves), and I've been known to cause problems by being a bitch and getting mad at him when he destroys my scores... I'm trying to avoid that now, though. riiight.gif

EDIT: I still got pretty angry when I was so excited I AAed PS and he was quick to tell me it wasn't a "real ten". It gets on my nerves when he tells me songs are "dead easy" and I know I can't pass em for crap. I try to let it slide, though. blink.gif

A few of my friends play. A few are at a higher skill level than I am, but most are still working at catching up to me. The rest of my friends sadly, have lives and therefore better things to do. I DDR just the same.

I've met alot of people playing DDR. Some are awesome (Khemra), some are slightly better than me (My friends Sean, Jeff, Brian, and Adam), some are slightly worse than me (My friends Katelyn and Sam), and one just plain sucks (My friend Paul; he started playing close to a year and a half ago, and the hardest song he can do is Matsuri JAPAN standard and only because he whores it).

My machine is located in a bowling alley located inside a college dorm, so lots of the students who live there spend a lot of time there. One of them stalks me. Seriously. He walks by the arcade every ten minutes to check if I'm in there, and if I am, he just sits and watches me until I leave.... He even follows me on campus while trying to keep his presence unknown. It's really creepy.

I only have one buddy who owns DDR, so I hang with him. He's a little better than me since he started before I did. Occasionally, I'll beat him...if I'm lucky. It's a lot of fun, though.

I met one of my best friends when he came to play DDR at our arcade. At the time he was doing mostly Standard songs, and a few Heavy. I was already doing stuff like MAX 300.

Well, we ende up hanging out all the time and I told him about StepMania. He downloaded all the songpacks for it and bought himself a Red Octane metal pad. Now he's better than everyone else in the area (seeing as he's the only one that can even pass PSMO).

Me? I have two friends that play seriously. They are not as dedicated but we each have our special talent over the other.

Mike: Style- He looks best when playing. He probably could be a freestylist one day if he were as dedicated as myself.

Micheal: Accuracy- He gets better grades from being most experienced at heavy mode. He would be the leading Perfect Attacker if he were as dedicated as myself.

Me: Technique- I get the same grades as the other two with more perfects if I like the songs chosen. I suck at their favorite songs just like they are not as good as myself with my favorite songs. I could achieve their grades more easily if I keep practicing.

If PS isn't a real ten, then what is? PSM and PSMO? disturb.gif

I have a ton of friends that I play DDR with, and I'm the best out of them, but they don't really care.
