EDIT: gays, bis, les, there all living people and need to all be respected in the same mannor, i have gay friends and i went out with a bi girl(that was the best time i had in my life) so yeah, if you play DDR and your gay and proud to show it good for you guys and girls, im not gay im just saying.

If you were at a club, and started dancing like you were playing PSMO, and holding onto a bar stool, I don't think people would be too impressed....maybe scared or even worried that you are experiencing a seizure.

It's not literally dancing, but quite. You still move and stuff, I like to do some moves when I play, like a freestyling look-alike.

The game's called Dance Dance Revolution so it must be some kind of dancing lol

If not then at least it gives u exercise and improves ur stamina which leads to the same point I already mentioned!

I definitely wouldn't dance like that at a club though, especially when I'm drunk .. or would that actually make me dance like on DDR?

the word "dance" in DDR is true, crossovers are real dancing steps(i think) but i doubt someone would do a gallop or a jackhammer on a real dancefloor and someone PAing the C-walk would be mad

Often times people like to equate homosexuality to stuff that they do not understand what is so great about it. I find myself doing the same thing and am trying to stop but it is hard.

like for example, robot chicken. people dont understand it and they say its gay but its not,

other example

when i play PPP i move my hands in motions that a gay person would, its not me being gay its the motion of my hands that i need to do in order to hit the correct arrow. when i do a crossover i place my arms stiff to the sides because it makes me move faster, if i diddnt i would never be able to pass R.A.P (rythem and police), you know how many crossovers are in that song?

I'm known for being extremly extremly feminine at times, and i play DDR, but not once have i been called gay to my face.I don't know, DDR players around here are pretty respected people (except ghetto f**kers seem to mock us alot) so we usually don't have many problems about the "thats gay" or "wow, look at that fairy" stuff.

i hate when people diss good DDR players, just because we dont lisin to rap or hip hop doesnt make us "gay" it makes you "gay" for saying that other people are "gay" and people that are really "gay" get ofended and do the people care? no, they just call them fags N such. when i see a gay DDR player tearing it up at DDR i go up to them and say "hey, your really good, can you show me your teqnice?" i dont go "you cigarette" i respect gay DDR players out there and if your not gay and still play DDR and diss on other gay DDR players, then you should tape yourself playing DDR and watch it then tell me you dont look like a cigarette, i admit i do look pretty gay while playing but i dont care, i just play more. if people call me names i turn to look at them and say "hey, you want to try this song with a C-walk" and they stand there acting stupid and i say. "there you go" you cant do some amazing crap on DDR and if you can then thats awsome. My friends who call good DDR players "gay" i tell them "you try doing that" and they cant.

all in all, the message in here is just play DDR and fuk the people who call you gay.

Like Cam, I'm openly gay, (thank god noone over here has a problem at all), and there is no association between sexuality and DDR at all. I've been playing for a year and the best a can do is B LoM on Heavy, while my straight friend who's been playing for a little less then a year can AA LoM on extra stage, and can get in the 90%'s on 11 footers in ItG. Oh, and to the guy who was "turned" bi, that doesn't happen. What does happen is something like that triggers the realization of your sexuality. Yeah. I'm a l33t psychologist.

About the hip-hop & rap thing.

If DDR was about rap and hip-hop, it would terribly suck. How fun would be playing it on stupid rap beats.

I just don't get how people would enjoy that kind of musc in that kind of game.

Just you guys know, I enjoy hip-hop at times, I hate rap, so I'm not totally bias.
