how does he influence your preformance, i mean for me, sometimes he messes up my combo when he says 100 combo or 200 combo... its so annoying....

i learned to ignore it. trust me, listed to the 1000 combo. you'll die.

one... THOUSAND COMBO!!!!!!!!!!!!

The original announcer really pisses me off.
"Your dance was so great, it's like sunshine on a cloudy day!"
"You've just become a hero!"
"Dance... Dance... REVOLUTION!!!!"

But I learn to not let the announcer mess me up. I faintly hear him, but the music is what I'm really listening to.

It gets annoying when I play because my machine is a loudest so when he says something like "500 Combo", I mess up.

yeah i once played at a machine were the machine was at the loudest and it just killed me when the announcer even talked

The announcer I have on stepmania freaks me out.... It's the same voice as on the extreme arcade machines, but he has a few extra phrases. Like if you leave the menu up for a while, he'll start yelling "Max!... MAX!!" and he goes "OH NO!" every single time I lose a combo...

Yea, he sort of scares me. I screw up sometimes when he says, "One hundred combo!" and then I throw a mini-fit at him, even though he's just a voice in DDR...

I'm easily angered.

Although, at the grade screen, man, he is PITIFUL when he fake-cries.

It is okay to me I dont even hear that much because I focus on the music instead of the announcer It is still pretty cool the way he talks though.

he sorta helps me out. i always like hearing "one THOUSAND combo!" on a nonstop course. it makes all the non-ddr'rs go "OH MY GOD!"
