Posted this on BMS as well, thought it might amuse you.

Heh, I was bored an decided to translate some bemani songs into latin. The first is colors. More to follow:

In lividus
Puto de tu
O eram stultus permittere advenit...(advenit)

Lacrimae in oculae hodie
faciunt meum terram lividum.

Russati cum vellere.
Arausio flammis.
Prasinus tourmalini.
Flavus maturus salve salve.

Pinge me risus.

Quod filius sum solum, solum cum non tu.
Quid licet facere?

Sum solum, solum cum non tu
et lividus.

In lividus
Puto de tu
O eram stultus permittere advenit...(advenit)

Lacrimae in oculae hodie
faciunt meum terram lividum.

Lyrics were used from animelyrics.com and I wasn't sure exactly what to make the direct object in some of the stanzas but all in all it was pretty fun. Once again more to come, and I can to requests Very Happy

If anyone sees any grammatical errors feel free to PM me/point them out in public in an effort to chagrin me =)

Your Latin is good. Probably better then I could pull off (only about 2 years of study here). Its interesting; Colors actually seems like it would sound alot better in Latin then English. Oh well.

Request wise: how about Blue Impulse?

Only You-Captain Jack

Modo tu
Poterat facit sentio verus
Non ero sentio lividum
Si habeo tu

Modo tu
Poterat facit sentio verus
Quidquid umquam potero, quod tu
Modo tu, poterat facit sentio verus
Non ero sentio lividum
Si habeo tu

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
Omnes agrestus matri iace manui sursum (manui sursum)
Omnes agrestus matri iace manui sursum (manui sursum)
Omnes agrestus matri iace manui sursum (manui sursum)
Omnes agrestus matri iace manui sursum (manui sursum)

Amas quam, amat tu
Es laeta, quam sui boo
Canet cum meum et meum nautae
Vole alte ad Caelum lividum

Modo tu
Poterat facit sentio verus
Non ero sentio lividum
Si habeo tu

Modo tu
Poterat facit sentio verus
Quidquid umquam potero, quod tu
Modo tu, poterat facit sentio verus
Non ero sentio lividum
Si habeo tu

This one is a bt more shaky than the other especially toward the end, so go easy on my unnatrually poor grammar, it was late! If someone can dig up an english translation of Blue Impulse I'll do it asap, as japanese to latin isn't my forte. =X

Schlagwerk:

O illus est malus!

Illus est magnus malus!

Heh rather than fucked up I put really bad. End of the century and Copa de la Vida coming later tonight. Once again if it's in japanese drop me a line or post a link to translated ;yrics as I am horrible at finding obscure bemani stuffs. E1.gif

EDIT: Well, if the songs is in japanese or generally intelligible ala love love sugar as I can't tell what language it's in listening to it

Aoi Shoudou (in English):
Hey, why is your heart in pain?
Let the neverending rain reflect your heart
Even if it's the saddest in the world
Look at that faraway sky beyond the clouds!
Here, soon, you'll find
A bright light will shine
You should be able to fly high, to the sky
Leap over the rainbow!
The tears shown that day will shine someday and are valuable
"Time" is created, something you create and set into motion
It is in your hands alone--the key to the door
Where is your bright dream?
Where is your bright dream?
Yes, always believe in yourself
When you fell discouraged, remember...
That I am here...

I'm looking forward to the translation of this ^^

This is very interesting, seriously. I never thought people of the younger generation would care about translating songs into latin lyrics. Let alone DDR songs. Now I'll have something to sing and hum at school!!! laugh.gif
