Can't freaking find official DWI/SM files anywhere... Gah...

I played DWI a lot about a year ago, but some stuff happened to my computer and I lost all my files. Now, one of my friends has a nice little setup with his dance mats and his PCs where he's ready to start hooking them up with some serious DDRing. Problem is, we can't find files anywhere. From what I understand, and correct me if I'm wrong, but on this board, you can't tell me where to get mp3s? Well that's cool, I'm sure I can get them somehow. But I can't find SM/DWI files/banners/backgrounds for official DDR songs. Is that, too, outside the bounds of the boards? (I'm not being cocky; I honestly don't know!) Anyway, if you know of any IRC channels, websites, or if you could just e-mail them to me (But not this e-mail adress; it doesn't accept attachments. ;p) let me know. As always, you can reply here, PM, e-mail, or IM me. Thanks for the help.

Oh, and so this doesn't get locked, I have sifted through the huge topic on this forum about this topic, but all the links there are either for original simfiles, or are dead. If you feel this topic is redundant, feel free to mod it. It's your call, I guess...

Read this walkthrough for more info about using IRC and fserves in #ddruk.serv.

EDIT: I included some direct links to the bumper packs in my post, but I have removed them as, after consulting the stickies, I'm not sure if they are against the rules. If it was against the rules, I'm sorry about that.

That's odd.. the channel (and the accompanying chat channel, #ddruk) is definitely up and running. I'm idling in it right now. Just double-check that you got the names right, and hopefully it should let you in...

yah this is really depressing i was freakin out whe i got to the apage and started downloading the 1st mix
half hour later it stopped working. think it got shut down like ddruk and ddramerica?

Its kind of been up and down all day. i couldn't get on forever but then it worked and i just downloaded 6th mix. you just gotta find the right time i guess. when you get it it kicks buttocks tho!

Whether it works or not, that site is not a complete listing of all the official files that you can find on IRC. And I bet it's not the latest version of the files they do have, either (look at their PARANOiA -Respect- file... it doesn't even have both the banner and background, and the banner is extremely low quality).

The only way to ensure you have all the most up-to-date versions of the files (and can get all the official packs) is to get them from IRC, where the bumper packs are dated. The latest set of bumpers is dated "15-10-04" (note that the bumpers which didn't receive an update at this time are dated "17-09-04", and the preliminary and Game Boy bumpers do not have a date).
