any well worn shoe that still has a tad of support

in lamens terms
worn in etnies = GOOD
converse chucks = BAD

edit: i only say chucks are bad because they make my feet hurt like a mug... its like 2 pieces of rubber stapled to canvas..

i use saucony xt600 running shoes. very lightweight, breathable, good firm cushion and shock absorbsion. way better than skater shoes because, skater shoes were "technically" made for skateboarders. you can use any shoe that fits you to play ddr, but i think the best shoes in general are the running/crosstrainer shoes.

My beloved DC shoes are to bulky and I dont get a good feel of the arrows. To the extent that my PA goes down...

When I play, Its usually in my new balance shoes (i dont know what style), but they seem good for now riiight.gif

At home I just wear socks, since I don't want to screw up my Ignition pad. At arcades though, I usually go with my Vans. Comfy, well worn-in, and just the right amount of grip.

I have just recently started wearing Etnies when I play...I don't recommend them though, after about 2 harder heavy songs my feet start to kill. It never used to happen when I wore my Sketchers. E7.gif

I just use some beat up old skate shoes. They're old and raggedy looking, but they're comfortable. blink.gif

let's see, at home i have a metal pad and soft pads, so whichever i feel like playing on i'll choose from there

for the soft pad, i'll wear socks only. i cant play barefoot, my feet stick to the pad and it gets all tangled up and the sweat and the AHHHH! I JUST FAILED RHYTHM AND POLICE YOU STUPID...

for the metal pad, i'll wear my shoes that i normally reserve for playing in tennis tournaments (New Balance 1001s, they're great.) i have two pairs, one strictly as tennis shoes, the other for walkin around and playing DDR.

and ALWAYS at an arcade i will wear shoes. everytime, it seems someone doesnt get that stubbing your toe on a screw on a metal pad does hurt, and it is embarassing at the arcade.

yeah that did happen to one of my friends, i felt sorry for him.

vans sure are getting the business on this forum. Word to the wise, dont wear vans out in the rain... I had a blue pair of them and was walking in the rain out to a shopping center. when i went home that day i took off my vans and my socks and feet were stained blue E2.gif . It was really weird and the blue didnt completely come off for weeks!

word to the wise. it was most likely your socks and it doesnt matter what shoe you wear, that will probably happen.

Edit: Sorry I double-posted.

Shouldn't this title be: "What Kind of shoes do you wear to play DDR?"
Not "what's on your feet".

In that case, I have an octopus on my feet smoking a joint while my other leg is amputated.

If its the shoe kind, I wear DC's since they have really good grip. I'm wondering if track shoes are good...I'm not talking about the cleats, but the regular running shoes. How do you guys think?
