Today I was playing a custom nonstop course in MAX2 home, consisting of first five easy songs, like Destiny and Groove, then AM-3P stealth at the end. So I made it to AM-3P and got to the very last two jumps, you know, up, right jump, left jump, and got a good. Before that my combo was 1010. Then came the next stream with the jackhammers, and since I was in emotional disrepair after breaking that combo, I stepped off the pad and failed the course. My brother, who constantly doubts my skill, was watching the whole time. Boy, did that suck.

Man, something similar happened to me... I was playing at the arcade on Max 300 heavy, and I was doing really good, had a full combo until the second line of stream. When that came up I looked like i was having a seizer trying to hit the steps, which i didn't get any...

This was very recent and TRUE.

I was playing a nonstop course on Max2 with 20 of the hardest songs, like Break Down!, Burning Heat, Kakumei, Afronova, 2 End of the Centuries, Kind Lady interlude, So Deep, Tsugaru, Twilight Zone, along with others and NO BREAKS. The last song was MaxX Unlimited. I was doing fine until the end on the LAST STEP of MaxX Unlimited I FAILED. I was PISSED. So close. This seems really crappy to me.

That struck me as mildly amusing.

That's rough, Boss. I bet if you stealthed yourself all the way to the end of AM-P3 once though, you'll be able to do it again.

It doesn't quite work that way. The way I do it, anyway, is relying heavily on reflexes, and trying to think about as little as possible. As soon as the thought of full comboing that hell for the time came into my head, everything fell through the floor.
Eehh, I'll try again tommorow. disturb.gif

Losing a 1010 combo isn't fun, but don't be a bad sport and play the damn song out. I can't stand it when people get flustered playing and just walk off the pad when they were doing fine the whole way through.......

Also, why do you care if your brother doubts your skill? Getting a 1000+ combo is nothing to sneer at, but even so, you should play for yourself, not for others.

By the way, what this on a hard pad or a soft pad?

failing on the 19th song of a custom nonstop also sucks. especially when you got through afronova, burning heat and kakumei and all you had left was so deep. thankfully, that no longer happens.

oi, if you get 1 good, keep going. To me, its pretty stupid and dishonorable to just give up after 1 good.

It's not really that impressive, and it's on home version...and I don't think he's the one who did it. I've seen that picture before somewhere in these forums...

I find that if you have a good combo and you get a good, you should just ignore it,so it dosent throw you off your groove
