Perhaps some of those questions were answered through PM.
Maybe they found out the answer by reading through the information in the forums.
Maybe no one who has been at the forums knows the answers yet.
Also...I have an extra Boom Adapter that I ordered from icewolf...if anyone's interested, I'll put it up for grabs on ebay...maybe that can be your answer... |

ok, i have a redoctane ignition 2.0 pad and a parallel port adaptor i got for 10 bucks off of level six. i plugged it in and dled the software. every time i play it goes into rapid fire mode, ghost-stepping like crazy. so i figured this was a "force feedback" problem, but every time when I try to go to the control panel and adjust the force feedback, it says "windows XP will close this program so it doesn't damage your PC" or something like that. any way to avoid this problem or any better adaptor to get? any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks! _________________

|
|
When I use my Konami Soft Pad with my Super Dual Box to play Stepmania, the double steps and down arrow do not register. So I can only hit one step at a time (and can't step down at all).
But when I switch over to the Playstation Dualshock2 controller, everything works fine including the down arrow and double steps.
I have tried the Start-Select-Up code and it did not work. Any idea on what's wrong? So far, it looks like I'ev wasted $25 and my parents aren't too happy.
Thanks! |

Alright...i'm really sorry everyone..I don't have a lot of time on my hands and this question has probably been asked over a thousand times with flaming responses probably saying "SEARCH BEFORE YOU *#&$()*@&#$@&*$ POST!" But...I'm at work on a 15 minute break :S and I don't have internet at home and no time to search<_<...
Anyways... I just ordered a Cobalt Flux about a week ago and I intend to only use it for Stepmania (Party purposes)....
I haven't heard a lot of good things about some adapters and converter's that support the flux very well (e.g timing issues)
What is the absolute best adapter or converter can be USB or anything...
What's the best one out there that I should get? (For the Flux, obviously..)
I heard about a lot of things like the EMSusb or the Joy converter or whatever.... But which one or one's are the best or most reliable to use?
Please help me out... Thanks
I'm really in a pickle about this <>_<> |

Okay, I put the Boom PS Joy adapter on Ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5164822255&ssPageName=ADME:B:LC:US:1
This is the most compatible adapter for connecting dance pads to the computer (as stated by the Stepmania website).
There's no reserve and the auction will last one week.
Sorry if this should have gone in the marketplace/other section, but I figured this would help someone having adapter trouble out there. |

I got an RO metal pad a few days ago, and I also purchased the PC Control Box. At first, I couldn't get it to map correctly, so I went to Key Mapping and held Start+Select+Up. It worked for a song or two, but then it just switched back to the other mapping in the middle of the song, and I've been having major problems with it. I've tried turning of Auto Key Mapping (or whatever it is on the top of Input Options), but it still doesn't work.
Does anyone know what is happening/how to fix it?
Thanks. |

Actually, The best answer would lie in the Cobalt Flux official forums. When I posted my CF question here, i havent gotten a response for 2/3 weeks (and still havent!) But I just headed over there and I got a good response in 3 minutes (no kidding..) cobaltflux.com. Good luck. |

So I got my girlfriend this bundle from BNS:
http://www.buynshop.com/productinfo/2078/VG-DDR-PCA7/
And it came with this adapter:

She's running XP, and is not completely computer literate. She lives
out of town, so I'm not there to check it out, and she's too impatient
to use forums *sigh* After getting the pads to register, she says that
it "sometimes" won't register left+right or up+down. That right will
over-ride left, but sometimes it will register both. Any ideas what
this problem could be? Could it be drivers? It came with Digipad Pro 6
or something along those lines (can't remember). Thanks a million! |

She tried the remapping code (assuming she did it right), and she said it didn't make much of a difference. She has two pads, so she's going to try the other one when she gets back from her class. Any other possibilities? |

I have this adaptor (it came with my BNS Ultra DX-Xtreme softpad with one inch hard insert). I havent got the chance to try it yet, because I already had another adaptor: the Super Dual Box. |

I bought it and I had problems with ghost stepping on both the PS2 pad and my Cobalt. It works, but it's not perfect. |
