I got my pad today. It works great. If anyone is considering buying another pad, don't. Just save up and buy this thing. |

I'm on the waiting crew now. Just ordered - going to take forever and a half to get it I bet.
My Red Octane died, so I've been going through $100+ a week at the arcade. Damnit. |

Which would you guys recommend: RedOctane Metal Pad or Cobalt Flux?
Also: Does the Cobalt Flux feel like a true Arcade pad?
Oh, and I already have a RedOctane Dual-Platform Edition Ignition Pad, so would getting a metal pad be worth it, in your opinion? |

The Cobalt Flux is not like the arcade. It's completely flat and the only way to get used to it, is well to get used to it by playing a lot, or mod it. I personally think that you're set with the RO Ignition. _________________

Do you know of any pads that are metal and feel like a true arcade pad? I am not good with modding...
Also, for those of you who have a CF: Do you play on it with socks or shoes? |

Also, is it easy to take out the arrow decals on the Triangle and Square and the Upper Left and the Upper Right arrows? |

I read somewhere, and would like to confirm: the red octane PS2 -> xbox converter works with the CF, correct?
Dont care if it registers as a pad or not as long as it works for stepmania. |

Yeah.
Anyway, I have a problem. One of the screws on my flux seems to be stripped, or I don't know what you would call it. The screw just comes out if you pull on it with your fingers, and slips right into the pad without being pushed or anything. Is this dangerous at all? Is there any way to fix it? Thanks. _________________

Thanks a lot, now let me get to these other questions...

In the new version, "V2", they are. In the older version they are not. You can't get the old version anymore.

I belive the site sells replacement decals. Or maybe it's panels. If not, go to this thread to download custom graphics that are just as cool.

Yeah, you just peel 'em off.

I used to play barefooted, but that turned out to suck. Now I play with shoes. _________________

So has anyone out there had the pleasure to see 4 Cobalt Fluxes on Quad-mode for Ultramix2? That would mean that you'd have 4 working converters and all...guess I'm halfway there...minus the X-Box...and Ultramix 2... |

This pad is like a brother to me:most of the time super awesome, and other times somewhat annoying. This thing is indestructable and it has been awesome having it. Unfortunately, the cobalt's compadbility with many pc adapters is very...not good. Nearly all usb adapters dont work with it (except boom) and when u try to use a parallel port adapter, it tends to auto fire and it takes a while to warm up with the pc. dont worry it eventually works. Besides that, its probably the best pad u can find if your willing to spend the money |
