I'm moving north to Albany, OR, and the nearest machine is 10 miles away in a college rec center! I just sold my consoles, and I'd like to find a pad that you can plug directly into the TV, if there is such a thing, for DDR. Any help? post here or my email, [email protected]

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You could perhaps check the proper forum, if that helps.

You could try Pump It Up. Their versions are both US legal and for the computer (which you obviously have). Otherwise, you could just get Step Mania and a controller converter, I guess.

Just like what Lena said in the popular show Dilbert, "Have fun in Albany!"

Are you allowed to go to this college recreation center to play?

If money is an issue, why don't you just buy a PS1, one of those cheapo pads, and Konamix? It'd certainly blow the crap out of those POS TV pads, which really suck, by the way.

Yep, that's probably the best idea. A major downfall on the TV dance pads is that they require batteries which drain SUPER fast. This is bad if you play a lot because in a couple of months you'll be wasting all your money on batteries, so in reality you save no money by buying the TV pad.

WHAT! Only 10 miles? I gotta drive at least 20 miles to get to the mall where the machine is! I guess you don't have a car yet. Just do like someone else here said and get yourself a PSX and Konamix (since DDRUSA is hard to find). Then get the PS2 and it's DDRs later on down the road.

^ OMG, it's 8 days old! The Horror! disturb.gif

If you're only ten miles away, don't freaking complain. I live 90 miles from the nearest machine. Plus, any college recreational center would probably let you in. Just go there. Don't even buy a home version.
