What's on your feet while playing DDR?

I just got the Ultramix 2 bundle, so right now, I'm playing shoeless. I keep reminding myself to wear socks next time I play. For one, my feet sweat and stick to the vinyl stuff, and two, I need cushioning because I play on a concrete slab floor with really short carpet.

If I were to play on a more substantial mat/at an arcade, I'd probably wear either my bumming-around-in NBs or my older-but-better-running-shoe NBs.

I've tried many shoes and found that the only important part is that they are flat sole (treadless [i.e. skater shoes]), other than that, just find shoes that are comfortable for you. I LOVE

my adidas, but of course this only goes for on metal pads. Thick socks are awsome for ignition pads and flat pads.

The only thing i wear while playing is socks

I play with no shoes, that's only because i wear heals to the arcade.

I wear 500 hundred pound iron clogs, they are surprisingly not damaging to the pads. By playing nothing but Max300 while wearing these I am getting just as fast as the guys in Dragonball Z! I can even shoot energy balls. Also I am taking Japanese and we've had like, 3 lessons so far, so I already know more Japanese than all of you and I can understand the japanese version, which is like totally hardcore porn and isn't the kiddie American version. I wear the cat bell shoes to regain hp, they only work when ig et off the pad and walk though, cuz it's hard to keep the claws from tearing up the arrows when i play.
