hey, im wondering how the heck do you use SMlan...
i opened the port it told me to
I connected to myself using port 127.0.0.1
I made a server named Spencer
and i gave my friend my IP and the server name
when he connects he says it takes to long and dosnt do any thing
So whats the prob? _________________

r u behind a router? if so, u need to bridge the connection, which i have no clue how to do, sorry if i couldn't be more help! _________________

or you could just set up DMZ on your router by going to your router settings page and typing in your computers name to the router like 198.1.*** _________________

according to your process, you said you connected to yourself before you made the server. You have to make the server first, then connect to yourself. |
