I used to fall sometimes when I started. It eventually stops when you get better. |

A few months back I was playing Tsugaru in the arcade and fell off the side of the pad. It was in the beginning, and it made me fail.
And last week I was playing Rhythm & Police at home, and during the first gallop section I landed on the side of my foot, sprained it, went down with it to keep it from being any worse. Couldn't walk for the rest of the day, and didn't play for like another 2. _________________

The only time I've ever done anything to injure myself was when I was trying doubles, lost where I was on the pad, and my right leg slipped off the right edge. I got a bit of a scrape on my ankle and it was a little sore for a few days, but nothing major. I think I still passed the song, too. _________________

Even though this thread has been made a bajillion times, I'll add.
Ski ball machines and DDR machines don't mix well. Numerous balls fly over and hit us ddr players.
And Secef from Indiana slipped off and planted his butt through a wall.
Ouch. _________________

You have to understand that there is no hope in hell of a new US available arcade version. | Oops.

I was playing in a short flimsy skirt one time, trying my best not to let it go up. Gallops came up the screen and my foot slid off the side of the pad. I fell down but I got right back up, no pain involved. _________________

How eerie. This exact thing happened to me today. 1P pad, fell off the left side on my a&*, but this was a little more into the song, during the second set of gallops or something like that.
Must be some defect in the song that is preying on unsuspecting victims like us. Let's sue! _________________

Wow....DDR accidents...thats a lot....but let me see
Knee drop on a bolt...hurt like hell...
I actually shattered the plastic covering while doing a knee drop once.
I didn't jump right when I tried to do a bar jump...trememdous pain occurred
This one was at home...
I was playing in socks and I have the plastic pads so it was really slippery....I did Rythm and Police on Heavy...and since i had no bars I fell backwards and hit my head on the table behind me...

ouuuuccchhhh
I Usually play barefoot (you can see where this is going) and so me and a friend were playing and as our last song we chose The Legend of MAX. Like 10 seconds into the song I sliced my toe wide open on a bolt that was just a little out. I felt it and looked down during the freeze and there was blood smeared like all over the damn pad. It was unnoticeable for the most part but if you watched my feet while I was playing you would see it, and we had a fairly large crowd. I failed shortly after and scurried the hell outta there! I got home and washed it, the cut was like 1/2" deep, it was sick.

PS And just a tip of advice...when your playing at home...and you are trying to learn how to slide your feet....NEVER practice by putting baby powder on your feet to increase lubrication.... Just a tip.. _________________
