IIDX controller play?

Is it possible to play IIDX using a PS2 Dual-Shock controller?

Now, I'm in no way interested in actually using a DS controller. However I am interested in using the circuitry inside one to interface with a homemade IIDX (arcade replica) controller. If it can be controlled from the DS then that's already a good part of the battle...

Yes you can. But it's button layout is, of course, very odd. Just find out which button does what and you are set

Yeah, the game can't even tell the difference between a IIDX controller or a Dual Shock - you have to set it manually. The button layout is something like this (from key 1 to key 7):

Square, L1, X, R1, Circle, R2, Right

Turntable clockwise is Up, counterclockwise is Down.
