ive had a ton of sucess with soft pads, i now consider myself at about the highest skill level you can possibly attain with a soft pad (B on Matsuri Japan, A on Tsugaru, please correct me if i am mistaken), so i'm getting a Cobalt Flux for christmas to furthur refine my skills. One time i stubbed my toe pretty horribly on Rhythm and Police (still hasn't fully healed after 2 weeks frust.gif ), thats about the worst i've had it.

Well the worst experience I had was when i tried doing heavy doubles with my ignition 2.0 pad and my modded xbox soft pad(it's got double stick tape holding it to a piece of wood.) Well needless to say when I tried doing CSFILSM on heavy...when I went to move to the soft pad I slid across the room and toppeled over >< Never again am I playing doubles with that damned thing...way too dangerous.

Worst experience I had with a soft pad...
I brought DDR to school for a speech (it was about DDR in general), and I didn't want to bother bringing my metal pad so I brought a soft pad in case the funny little non-DDR children wanted a demonstration. So, when it came demonstration time, I chose a nice little song that I had played numerous times before and was more than competent with (Absolute on Ultramix, I can't remember the actual name). Well, I forgot to take my shoes off, and so, soft pad + shoes = slipping = bad score. REALLY bad score. So now everyone thinks I am bad at DDR, due to my bad memory and a little bit of soft pad magic. Isn't that pleasant?

I can B MaxX Unlimited and Max300 on my friend's softpad, and I can AA half the 9 footers I've played and can AA every 8 footer and below.

Oh yeah, well my first pad lasted about 4 weeks, then I sent it back to EB as deficient and got a new one. That died after 3 weeks.

my pad has so many rips in it...so my pad is covored in like 50% duct tape lol. Yea i hate soft pads bcuz they move around A LOT and its really hard when i do heavy songs like cant stop falling in love, any paranoia song ect. well w/e thats just my exsperience...saving up 4 a metal pad tho...but idk wat i'm gonna do bcuz i'm too weak to pick one up to move it around lol

I play in my college dorm with two softies (one is the extreme combo pad the other is a game stop). These are my third and fourth pad purchases. The first two lasted a while but eventually just wore out. One day after class i was playing cant stop falling in love (extreme version) and it wasnt pretty. right after the part with several chains of half steps, i missed the back arrow and slipped, i fell straight down and my face slammed off the box. the box shattered and my forehead was gushing. i stood up and stopped the bleeding and realized what really happened, on the game stop pad i actually seperated the top layer from the bottom and it had 'rolled' me off onto the floor, sending me hurtling to the ground. i bought another crappy $20 pad but for christmas i got a metal (ebay variety) so im very excited.
