I'm thinking about it, right now Paranoia Survivor looks easy enough, a lot of it looks like quick gallops a little bit of random-looking steps. and a couple spins.
If worse comes to worse and I am seriously cramped for time. I'll go with Somewhere Over The Rainbow, it looks easy as hell and it works for my routine....kinda. I'd rather use something that no one would really use to freestyle, but eh.
UPDATE: Legend of Max looks a TAD easier than Paranoia Survivor, the steps look to be on just about every other line. We may have a possible candidate! _________________

I REALLY want to do Sakura for a Freestyle but thats a HELLA lot of steps to memorize. Ah well
I have an idea of what to do for my freestyle routine. It isn't a Maxx though, I don't feel I can get creative enough with Unlimited and I don't have the time to memorize the step chart to Survivor. Aargh.
I'm kinda tossing around 2 signifigantly easier songs in my head _________________

Yeah, if it's well-placed/executed, you can still get away with a 'plant of some kind in your routine (see: Liustyle). Put em in every 8 count and people get sick of them, though. Fast.
001, for the record, you probably have the best kneedrops/handplants I've seen in person. Damn you must've studied that A-Team vid a lot for the tourney. _________________

The hardest part about freestyle is making it flow. I try to make it seem that I'm not playing DDR, but just plain dancing. That would help the flow in your routine or improv. I see many people that freestyle who just "play ddr", with a little bit of arm movement, spins, and slides...... a lot of it. I mean it looks good but it can get repetitive. Well, if you can't dance (no offense), a good way to learn some moves is to get some dance videos, like hip-hop, para para, etc. You can use the moves in those vids and incorporate it in your dance. In one of my routines, I used some moves from Darrin's Dance Grooves, you know . I also play para para to further improve my freestyle. Also, you should be comfortable in performing freestyle improv or routines.
and PLEASE no more dynamite rave with two people pad switching . |

what is wrong with that? just as long as it looks good and not a handslap/kneedrop frenzy then it's ok! _________________

well it reminds me of the ddr vid of Gareth and Louie........... it was awesome back then. It is just that I see it often, heh I even tried it. It is always at the same part when they switch too. Just an old freestyle move in DDR to me. |

i think a really good freestyle(for two people) would to put 2 DDR machines next to each other, put on doubles mode, and the two people walk back and forth between the 2 and play double on each others _________________

Complicated, but by no means a bad idea. Good luck finding a tournament that would cater to it, though. _________________
