Uh... I think I played at an afterschool program where some teachers brought in their DDR machines (like the arcade machines, not a PS and pad). I must have been 12 then. So, three years later, I picked up DDRMAX for the PS2 and I haven't been the same since... _________________

There whole arcade?! That must've been pretty nice. The first time I played in Mexico at a big arcade called Mundo Divertido in 2001. First I played a Solo mix, I forget which one. I didn't really like it at first. But later that night, we went to Peter Piper Pizza and they had 3rd Mix Korean v.2. I played again and was hooked. |

Years ago VCU had Solo Mix. I saw peole playing it and was enticed, so I waited for a moment when no one was playing(and not too many people were in that half the room) and gave it a shot. I tried what I guess was beginner mode. There were only 3 arrows to hit and played E-rotic's "Temple of Love", then I played "Kiss Me" then back to "Temple of Love"
Wow- I haven't been the same since! |

Boomtown at Reno. I summed up the guts to play on a 5th Mix machine they had there, and it all just came together. _________________

Place: Disneyquest Chicago. Mix: 1st Mix US. Hooked ever since. Tempest has me beat me out by a matter of months. My first time was in the summer of '99 (Has it been 5 years already?! Good Bob above!), July I think. Somehow knew what to do before I even got on the game, but didn't do well. |

April, 1999: Cyberzone Arcade, Koreatown, LA, CA! Checked out this place after reading an article featuring a token from Cyberzone arcade (from the Tips & Tricks magazine published by Larry Flynt). Tried the DDR 1.5 mix machine, played Have You Ever Been Mellow & totall failed. Started to walk off the machine. If it hadn't been a player named Bum Suk (Jenith) telling me how to play the game, I would have never been involved with this website! And the rest is history! Is that a trip or what? Please reply, over! Thanks!

End of July 2003, 7th Mix, Happy Hampton Arcade, Hampton Beach, NH, .50 cents. First song I did was Twilight zone, and I got a D. Then I did Justify My Love, and then Max 300. Max 300 was not my choice, we wanted to see what the roulette button did. But it's amazing, the first time I try roulette, I get Max 300, but every time I see if I can actually get it, like, I am intending on getting Max 300 I miss it by two songs. Murphy's law I guess. |

July 19, in Canada. Some arcade next to Niagra Falls had a DDR 1st mix. I played it for the first time, the song was Boom Boom Dollar. _________________

The first time I played was at the Niagara Falls Marvel Arcade, earlier this year in June. I think I played the Extreme machine first, and thought I was the sh*t on beginner, then I went over to the U.S. 1st mix and failed in a second.
I have been back to that arcade since, I realized that the U.S. machine's pads are crap. _________________

I played a DDR USA mix at an arcade at Whistler Ski Resort during the summer cause I had the courage to do so since it was empty.
That was like, three and a half years ago. |
