I was diagnosed with cancer and the chemo was damaging my immune system. The dr. said the only thing that could really help boost my immune system was exercise. I hate exercise. I was desparate to find some form of exercise that I could stick with. I started thinking creatively and came up with ddr as an idea. After I began ddr, I didnt get sick once from the chemo. It also took away my depression. That game saved my life. Although I initially thought of it as exercise, I do not think of it that way now. It is a huge part of my life now. A day without it seems empty and joyless.

Nothing really "inspired" me. I was in the arcade one day and saw these people playing a game I had never seen before. It looked ROXOR. Lots of flashy lights and fast music. I walked up to one of them and asked what it was. He said "This is DDR dude. You wanna play?" they let me play one song on beginner and I was hooked. I watched them play some songs on oni for about an hour. I was baffled. I HAD to get that game...so I did. Now I'm here. E4.gif

it all started when i was at the movies becuz they have a big arcade. i was with my mom, my 2 brothers, my sister, and me! when my brother and sister tried, it looked all fun but i knew that it waz gonna take me a while for me to get used to it. so i kept playin it for a while then my older brother brought it home so i could practice not just in the arcades but at my house too. i eventually got better and better at it. so about 1 year and 2 months (now) later i've succesfully reached my goal to become a DDR freak! E13.gif so now im on heavy. im gettin better on the ledgend of max without the bar but i mostly fail but its okay. and thats how i became intersted in DDR.

My friend Sara had just gotton it for her ps2 and she was like 'try it' and made me try the tutorials on DDRMAX2. I thought it was boring because it was the tutorial, but then when she brought it i would play it, and when i went to her house (we live in diff. cities) we played it. After that, when she was in town we would go to the mall and play it, and last weekend i got an xbox and ultramix 2!

Which, i must add that i'm dissapointed that there isn't a tutorial on Ultramix 2, i want my friends who haven't played to play!

I saw some guys playing on it, when I went to the arcade in the mall. It looked really fun. Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to play, it was time to go home. So I tried it the next time I went there. I started on Beginer's, and failed, but I was playing with someone else who was good so they kept me in. After that, I was so hooked. I ended up getting a PS2 and DDR Max 2.
I also play Extreme whenever I go there. Now, they've got Max! I've gotta try it sometime!! I've played Extreme, but never Max. riiight.gif
