Stinky people

And with that, it's time to hijack this thread for my own nefarious purposes.
Has anyone ever noticed how stinky some people get while playing DDR? Where you dread not only playing beside them, but merely being in the same arcade as them?
It kinda bugs me because I know the problem--not enough water. Honestly people, you're thirsty all the time for a reason. It's not good if when you sweat, you have to release that many toxins and non-water, non-salt chemicals.

ps-DDR is a physically active game. You can't expect people not to sweat.

Some people are naive towards their hygine. You just have to respect their intentions.

Gatorade or Powerade would be your best bet. Also, i put deoderant all over my body and i wear some cologne before i get there.

Let me make the distinction between sweating and smelling. I sweat. A lot while at the arcade. You can see me noticeably sweating after the first song or two (out of a 3 hour play period). But remember that the more water you drink, the more prepared your body is to sweat. Not only that, but if you're taking in more water, the the toxins in your system can spread out better. More water in general means more water to the bladder, which means that it (and your kidneys) can properly do their job of excreting unhealthy chemicals. Also, if you're sweating more, what chemicals are still left for you to get rid of are diluted more. Having twice the sweat evaporating off of you not only makes you cooler (and thus gives you more stamina), but it also carries away twice as much of the salts and harmful chemicals (which would otherwise smell) off of your body.
Water is best. Sports drinks have the negative side-effect of quenching your thirst. You don't want that; you want as much liquid throughput as possible. Water and sports drinks are the healthiest things you could be drinking while DDRing, though.

Everytime i take a bottle of AXE so everytime im done with a song i spray my self real quick, I drink sodas and water and stuff, But taking some AXE could help. I took colonge once and it was scary, didnt work out well. Seems i made it worse.

Sometimes I forget to put on deordorant...and I can sorta smell myself. >_>;
But most of the time if I have it on, I am fine. My sweat doesn't really smell a whole lot, and since human noses aren't all that great, it remains undetected.

The difference is that being stinky is easy for a person to fix 80% of the time, and they'd also be fixing alot of other problems they have physically.

I have this problem with one of my friends. Great guy but has a sweat problem...he always hugs me after we've played which is kind of gross. I mean I probably don't smell that great either. Damn him and his hugging-after-DDR tendencies.

I have an ok amount of stamina and dont really start to sweat till about my 4th or 5th song. ANd as long as u are wearing deodorant and take a shower before u ok
