have you done anything recently to your computer? like have you changed your version of direct X or anything like that? if you still have the driver disk you should try installing that and then trying your adapter again. I'm guessing since it worked before that you know about the code you have to enter. it also might have just shorted out or gone bad...shit happens =\ |

I have BNS Ultra NX DDR Pad with a Parallel adapter. I installed NTPad 2.01, but when I try to map the buttons, it goes beserk. For example, when I'm pressing down left, it says I'm pressing down left, right, and up. Has anyone heard of this problem? I run Windows XP SP2, btw.
I tried instally PSXPad as well, which fixes the problem (the keys map correctly), but PXSPad doesn't work when I press down two buttons at the same time.
Does anyone have solutions for either of these problems? Please help! |

i recently bought a metal pad off of ebay, and i wish to know what Adaptor i should buy that works PERFECTLY. So far, i've checked out ebay, level six and many other stores and so far level six is looking in terms of price and functuality. anyway, does anyone know if these are the USB adaptors to get? if not could you reccomend another one? |

well if you're only hooking up one pad, go with the BNS parallel port adapter. I believe there is a link to it on the FAQ that I wrote ages ago (first page yo *hint*hint*). if that's not what you would want, I say go with the PS Joy Converter or the EMSUSB2. parallel is the best way to go for metal pads though. |

I just got the Super Joybox 11 so I could hook up to 4 Xbox devices to my PC via a USB connection. Using XBCD v1.03 drivers, I was able to map my Konami soft dance pad buttons, which are detected as POV Hat stick movements, to buttons so that you can press more than 1 at a time in StepMania. Worked like a charm! |

sigh...I hate having to say the same thing over and over again, but if installing the drivers that came with the adapter doesn't work, your adapter has probably malfunctioned or shorted out. it happens from time to time. |

well, this is mostly my part, but here goes nothin'.......http://www.picsplace.to/044861/ddrpad.jpg , i bought this pad, and i like it, cuz it works great with my ps2..... then i bought a ps2 to usb converter from radio shack, and it worked great with my dualshock controller, but when i stuck my pad in, it would be able to work.....after i hit the arrow, like, 50 times, so i just figured that maybe the control box might be interfering with the connection to my computer, or did i just go with the wrong usb adapter? thx! _________________

i guess that's ok, cuz i kept reciept and returned it (they understood), and then i found this... http://store.yahoo.com/adux/controlboxpc.html .. and i thought, "hey, i have a metal pad, that should work!" will it? cuz i don't have a red octane pad, and i'm not sure if that'll work with my pad (link in my last post for my pad). thx! _________________

Hello, would someone be able to help me with a small problem,
PS2 to USB2 EMS Dual Shooter Converter, blue and white. set on PC
Home built pad controller that i sodered to is a Mad Catz PSone
I am using Stepmaina 3.9
Have two basic "Show me your moves" soft pads from gamestop
When i first installed the converter it worked fine with my soft pads and my PSone controller despite the fact that under control panel>game controllers it did not register the converter.
I figured it was ok since the pads and controllers still worked fine, the converter even worked for other games as well.
When I use a regular PSone controller with the converter it works ok, Even my soft pad works fine with the converter.
When i plug my homebuilt directley to my PSone it works fine.
But when i plug my homebuilt into the converter there is no response and stepmania does not detect it. My other games do not detect it either
I have tried reinstalling both stepmania and the software with the converter but nothing, even tried different USB spots on computer, nothing
Does anyone have any ideas as to why the homebuilt does not work with my converter? Does the EMS work with Mad Catz controllers?
Thanks a lot! |
