Well out of nowhere the thought came to my head, "Take and Yasu and all them must be able to run like 8 million miles per hour," and so the idea for this thread was born. Has ddr increased your running speed/agility? Has your fitness increased drastically from ddr?

Personally, ddr has REALLY made me faster, and I can run like 10x longer than before ddr.

Discuss.

Well, I have'n't noticed an increase in running speed, but I can flit around nimble as any ninja! And the only really huge differences in my fitness I've noticed, I think are coming from my T'ai-Chi practice...

My stamina has increased, a lot. I don't get tired from Max300/HVAM/So Deep, where I used to be out of breath when I used to play those.

DDR IMO doesn't increase running speed. Just cause you can machine gun doesn't mean you can run the Olympics. MAYBE helps your leg muscle, other than that....

Obviously it doesn't help running speed, but stamina.. ya.. it does..

Bleh, I'm at the lowest point of my fitness right now.. (just started ddr 3 months ago)..

Now because of this game, I run faster and have better stamina. Before, I would do 1 9 foot song and be tired, now I can do 9's and 8s without getting tired or my legs burning.

Well, it certainly helps you run in World Track Meet. E13.gif
Personally, my stamina, agility, and dexterity have increased while my weight has decreased.

I can run a mile and a half in like 8 minutes and my mile at full speed is under 5 minutes... but that is probably a mixture of ddr, soccer, basketball, hockey, and running daily...

I havent been timed since this class I took... I probably could do a lot better on my times now...

I play ddr alot (2 hours a day atleast) sometimes like 4 or 5 games in a row on heavy, and I have really good DDR stamina. The minute I go to run, I am out of breath, and fall over and die x_X. Maybe in the future it will help me run, who knows? ;o

E19.gif who knows if it increases running speed ? . i doubt that , but running stamina yeah , E4.gif . DDR has also increased my stamina in general sports itself nevermind just running, so its good E1.gif

DDR = last for 5 hours at a time
Walk my dog up the street = goog.gif

There is a difference between DDR stamina and running stamina.

I haven't really noticed that my speed has increased, but I can run further. The thing is, in NH I can play DDR for ten hours straight, and in Colorado I can only play like three games. But I can run for ten minutes without becoming winded in Colorado. So I can run without becoming winded in Colorado, but I can't play DDR without becoming winded. E19.gif
