hey, wow. that's great that they are responsive. I'll hop on their forums sometime and talk to them about possibly adding a noteskin that has white 16ths instead of green for ITG2. the great thing about vivid in DDR is that the colors alternate, so if there is one that I can't see, it'll change to a completely different color half a beat later. maybe something similar to that would be good, too. |

|
|
There is a new forum dedicated to the ITG locations cross-country and the support and maintenance of said machines.
If you've encountered any kind of hardware, software, or even aesthetic problem with your local arcade's In The Groove machine, post about it in the official "ITG Location Reports" forum linked below!
Be wary that this forum will be hugely moderated to keep it tidy; as problems are resolved, they will be tagged or removed. This aught to make problem resolution go a little quicker, as it's hard for the team-members to find posts across various internet messageboards.
Just for quick access!:

It may depend on where the arcade tech decides to install it, but typically low on the side of the monitor casing. |

Considering that ITG's official release date was only a couple months ago, not immediately, but it is already being worked on _________________

I'm going on wed., so an answer befor then would be most appriciated
Anyway, I have a USB Vault (The little memory card type USB thingies) Do I need anything on there to save. Becouse If you remember, for DDR, you needed previous data from the previous mix. So do I need to put something on there? Second, could I keep something else on there while it's saved? Like regular things from my computer, or it can only be ITG data?
Thank's,
Ken. |

1) It seems like most USB drives work, but really quite a few don't. They're still trying to figure out which is which over at Roxor. I have a Simpletech USB drive, and it works fine. Some friends of mine got some generic CompUSA brand USB drives, and it won't read them. (Doesn't even make a "read error" noise... it's like it doesn't believe the card exists.) etc. There's a thread about what drives people know do and don't work at itgfreak.
2) You don't need to have anything on the drive beforehand. It'll add all the necessary files when you first use the disk. However, if you want it to display your name and keep track of Calories you've burned and stuff like that, you'll need to create an "editable.ini" with the necessary information. However, it'll save your scores and do a lot of other handy stuff just fine without that.
3) Yeah, you can store other stuff there. It makes its own directory, so as long as you don't mess with the stuff in there (other than .edit files, and editable.ini), it'll be fine.
If you do want to make an editable.ini:
Get your flash drive.
Make an "In The Groove" folder.
In that folder, make a text file called "editable.ini"
Make the contents of that file look something like this: Code: | [Editable]
DisplayName=E.M.R.
LastUsedHighScoreName=EMR
WeightPounds=150 | (or whatever you want the machine to display, put in for your high scores, believe your weight to be, etc.) _________________

Picked up a SanDisk cruzer mini 128 usb card today. Works great.
Anyone know if it keeps track of money spent? |

I think somewhere it keeps track of games played, which is basically the same thing.
Games played * tokens per game * price per token = money spent _________________

im so sorry about such a stupid question but could someone just please answer this:
What the hell are mines? What the hell is up with the wavy freeze arrows? i have just heard about this game today and no one seems to have answered this. please either tell me or direct me to the answer of these simple questions (and for the love of god don't flame me). _________________

Mines come up the columns like normal arrows. They look like little metal discs with a red center. If your foot is on the arrow when they come by, they explode and decrease your meter. This allows for some interesting step choreography. Additionally, like hands, mines tend to show up most on expert, and occasionally on hard. I don't think I've seen any easy or medium songs with mines, though I have seen one (Bend Your Mind) with hands on low difficulties.
By "wavy freeze arrows," are you referring to this screenshot? If so, I think the player on the left is on the modifier "bumpy," which makes the arrows move strangely and hold arrows wavy like that. _________________
