|
|
While this is not strictly DDR related, there's a new development in the home console dancing game world. For years, nobody ever thought that there would be a console release of Pump It Up, but those days are numbered. Andamiro has announced that Pump It Up Exceed is coming to the PS2. It is to be released on November, 24. Over 100 songs are promised and the game is bundled with a dance mat.
Now, before you get too excited, this release is only for Asian markets. But, it is possible (but not likely) that Andamiro may release this for more markets at a later date.
Track list and information is at PlayAsia.com, or if you can read Korean, there's more information at Andamiro's official site.
Update @ 2004/11/05:
User Yaki Tora said:
"To let you all know, the pad that is bundled with Exceed will be a USB pad. All previous USB pads made for the PC games will work on the PS2 release of Exceed."
Thanks for the information!

Wow, 100 songs? Hey Konami... *poke* *poke* *poke*
Although, PIU has been saving it up all this time. Its not like they've been releasing a series of games this whole time. |

Wow, I really hope this game works with my Cobalt Flux V2.
Now the "Pump" function of the pad can be used outside of Stepmania.

Because it is not a North American release, you *will* need a modified system to run it on your PS2.
If at some point Andamiro releases it in North America, you won't need a mod to play the North American version.
Oh, and your RO Ignitions will NOT work. This is because they lack a center button, which is required for Pump. (You could make a custom config, but it would just be lame and stupid...)

No. Not unless they have a middle stepping place thing. And you will need a modded PS2.
All I have to say is: IT'S ABOUT TIME! This is gonna be great! I have PREX 3 for the PC. Maybe if I'm reeeeally good the USB pad for PC will work for this PIU . Another thing to blow my money on.

I wonder if there's any chance of this getting released in North America. I've always wanted to try PIU, but none of the arcades around here have it and I'm not really interested in playing it on my PC (tried Stepmania on my PC and it didn't work very well). At any rate, a very interesting move by Andamiro. I wonder if it's gonna be released in Japan. Despite the proximity of the two countries, I've heard PIU is pretty much completely unheard of in Japan. |

I doubt it'll be released in Japan, but it'll work on a Japanese PS2 so if there are people there that want it they'll probably get it just like some of the Americans and Mexicans will.
I'm gonna wait until my friend buys it... to find out if the pads are USB... because I'd hate to buy a new pad that I can't use on my PC like the old one. |

Does anyone know the name of the Korean songs? Mainly the one by Clone. Any help would be appreciated. I tried Babel fishing it but I got nothing. |

Both of those Clon songs are awsome.
Clon is awsome.
I know a lot of songs on that songlist, and in comparison with good vs bad songs, this kicks any DDR CS's buttocks .
Can't wait.

Actually, it's being released on the 11th of November, but PlayAsia won't be getting it until the 24th.
Does anyone know where to pre-order this game and get it as soon as it comes out? |

Dammit, if I didn't have to buy a separate pad for this, I already have the home PC pad...argh. At least make a PS/2--->PS2 convertor =/ _________________
