Yea, I play on a small controller and an ASC(when I go to my friend's house) I'm equally good on both.
Also, Passed my first 34 Ska Cassandra <3 |

Took me forever to pass my first try
But once I get my ps2 up and running again, and get my ASC, everything will be awsome \o/ _________________

Hi
After seeing the tennis ball Step'n Music controller I decided to try something a little different for my Apple iBook.
I took 5 empty noodle cups, put cardboard on the bottom of them - and made small scotchtape balls on the keys that I wanted to use for a 5 key game.
I made a cardboard holder for the cups - put them on my iBook keyboard - and started Step'n Music.
The result is very simple - but works perfectly.

OK so I'm here in Japan and I just started playing Pop'n 11. I figured out how to arrange the songs, Woot I can play Sailor moon and Lupin the III over and over heh.
Does anybody know what the popn music cards are for tho? something about entering a pin, and you can use your own music somehow? I wasn't really understanding it. The popn cards cost 200 en so it's not too expensive, But I don't want it buy it for no reason. There is also some sort of email game attached to it... no idea.
So, anybody got the low down on popn 11?
Oh, and the new IIDX has a card too... related? _________________

The IIDX card allows you to be ranked all over Japan and have your grades and progressed saved. The Popn card allows for you to get new songs from ee'mall. _________________

Its a service called E-AMusement. You buy the card and activate it. You save your scores and you can unlock songs in the game. ee'mall is a machine that you can spend your pop'n points on for games and charachters. ee'mall also works with GF/DM (I am not sure about IIDX). _________________

Ummm, hey all ^^
I saw this game in a couple movies (basically ones where the players were doing really crazy songs and stuff ^^) and it looks pretty fun.
Could you please tell me how to get into it? I mean, do I need a mod chip for my PS2? What kind of controller should I get to start off? Where would you recommend I buy the game/controller? Which game should I get? How much will it cost? Where can I find an arcade machine?
Hehe sorry for the questions and sorry again if they have been asked before, but I don't want to read through 40 posts to find the answers. ^^
Thanks in advance for the help! _________________

It took me over a year of searching (other than going to Rinkya because of the high fees) but I finally got Pop N Music for Gameboy Color. I ended up with the Disney Tunes version since I have it on Playstation and liked it (except for the small songlist) and that was the only non Animelo Gameboy one I have ever seen on EBay.
For a Gameboy Color game I think it's good. Only a 5 button mode and it's a little strange to use the D-Pad and 2 buttons to hit the Pop Kuns compared to using a Pop N Music controller but overall, I'm glad I got it. |

So which one is right? I'm getting the "jumbo pushbutton" from Wico the source in a couple days and planning on starting sometime next week.
BTW, Hi! I'm new here.

Actually, some earlier smaller machines (The ones without EAmuse or the tall sexy ones with the controllers that look the same as the ASC'S) are in fact 5.5" the 5.75 is for most machines and controllers. _________________

Cool, thanks. I think I'm going to go ahead and use 5.5 because:
1. My GF has small hands
2. I will NEVER be playing on a real machine (I live in NH for god's sake)
3. The controller is already going to be friggin' HUGE, why make it bigger than it has to be? |

It's a shame most of us in the USA will never see a Pop n Music game in the arcade... I hate the fact that arcade owners will buy 10 or so shooters that are pratically the same but won't try something new because it's a risk... well isn't buying 10 games of the same genre a risk?! |

No, because when you buy 10 of a certain kind of game it's because you know it'll bring in mad money. |

But the thing is... they certainly aren't bringing in that much money... the place is mainly a go-kart place and that brings in most of the money, they just have losers to select what games they get.... lol
Since 2003 they've gotten one game worth playing : Virtua Fighter 4... thats it. |

Some people use HAPP, but, they are expensive. _________________

It's just some weird puzzle game that plays a little like Puyo Puyo. And you can't even get online with it from the US, so it's pretty pointless.
