I followed the hype. My friends were playing and I felt so left out. So I started going to the acrade by myself just to practice so I could get better than them.

I used to think it looked so lame. Then I played at a free-play arcade, and became hopelessly addicted. All a freak accident.

My sheer love for music with lots of energy, loud bass, and rhythm got me hooked on DDR.

My boyfriend discovered a Max2 machine at the mall and insisted we both try it. And we both sucked laugh.gif
Shortly after, he bought it for his PS2. Now we're getting better, we both get C's in Standard mode.

Rofl, awesome pun there.

I got addicted because I was at the movies once with my friends, and we had a good 30 minutes to wait. They only have one arcade game: DDR Extreme.
Well, as hopelessly hyped up on caffeine I was, I decided to play. From then on, I tried to always be around DDR, and its been paying off. Passing a 10-footer in 3/4 of a year is pretty good.

Initially I was inspired to play when one day before a band concert a friend of mine got me into stepmania.

Now I'm inspired to play more because I have a desire to get close to as good as some of the players I've met here.

I was on a trip to Canada with my family and friends. We stop by at this arcade next to Niagara Falls. My cousins boyfriend was versing a guy playing butterfly. I found it quite interesting, the good blaring music and all the flashing lights and such. So when I got back to the States I went to the arcades and play some. I got hooked, and I got poor.

My evil arch-enemy was playing it along with my other evil arch-enemy. So I played both of them on beginner, and won by about 100,000. Then I played a heavy player. I knew I had to beat all of them.

This was... 6 months ago.

I saw DDRMAX.

I bought it, not really knowing what it was. But the box sure did look cool.
