Mine broke within two days. The right arrow hits in triplets and sometimes it doesn't even register at all. I do not like this pad, I do not like it sam I am.

3 broken arrows in a month and a week is pretty crappy.

I've had my TX-2000 for about four months now and it is still in pretty good shape aside from all the panels having cracks in them. I get no tripple steps and the arrows don't stick at all. I think I made the initial mistake in buying these and not CF.

... No offense but i find the pads ugly. But if you wanna know crackable arrows CAN be fixed... if your out of money reach for ducktape... if you have some money and the right tools slice up 4 poly carbonated arrows and replace the ones in there already. If it has the copper contact system you can follow ps2freak's cyphergames mod...

I am trying to figure out what is the best, and cheapest way to fix the panels.

Is there some sort of "superglue" I can put into the cracks to seal them.
If not, where can I buy acrylic plastic and how do I remove the electronic sensor from under the old panels.
If this can't be done, where can I go to buy replacement panels that won't cost too much. I have tried keepgaming.com, but I did not buy the pads from them.

Thanks.

I'm not sure if they work or not but CF does sell decals sets.

Hi to all.
I live in Europe and I'm considering buying one of these babies after hearing so many positive comments form people in my continent.
This is actually the only forum I've found with so many complaints, so I would like to point out a couple of things.

First: there are at least 3 versions of the TX2000 around. The one that is being praised everywhere is v3.... you can easily tell if you have one of them looking at the metal plates that hold the panels in the middle of the platform: on v3 they are round, on v2 and v1 they are sort of octagonal. The background of X and O panles should also be green instead of grey.
There's a big difference between older and newer versions, the latter being much more sturdier. I've even seen a picture of a panel broken in two pieces in a forum, and of course it came from v2: nobody seems to be complaining about v3 integrity.
I don't want to criticize anyone of course, but sentences like "I had one once and it broke after 2 days" is of no help for anyone, unless one specifies which version he's speaking about.

Second: there seems to be a v4 around on ebay, that has plexiglass panels instead of plastic ones and claims to withhold 500lbs (200lbs more than the before), has anybody tested it? Maybe is this the one you're complaining about, as it's not the improvement it promises to be?

Third: as for panels fixing, I think an easy and relatively cheap way is to order a replacement! Play-asia and Lik-sang both have replacement arrows, for older and newer version, that cost from 5 to 10$. That's reasonably inexpensive, I think.

That's all.

Hey nyrang, I have a version 3 and I hate it.

Seriously guys, I don't know if I recieved a defective pad, but it broke within days. I'm a heavy player in the arcade who constantly recieves AA's and A's on everything I do (minus Max and Paranoia) and I am so disapointed with this. I've recieved Boo's and misses on exotic ethnic with this pad which I've never recieved in the arcade. Even on 7 footers like Look to the Sky which I recieve less than 10 greats on in the arcade I get boos and misses with this pad. I still have a triplet problem AND I have a version 3.

If you are going to save up to buy a pad, just buy a Cobalt Flux.

Ok so what I'm left with is a bunch of european (UK, mostly) forums where everybody claims his TX2000 is still flawless after months of play, and some USA forums where so many people are talking about triplets and pads broken into pieces after a few days. Oh, and of course people play 9 and 10 footers even in Europe.

I'm starting to suspect there *must* be something to do with the origins of these pads. Everybody in Europe buys them from play-asia, or from lik-sang in some cases, while I understand the primary source of these pads in USA is ebay. This difference is the only explanation I can find for such a huge discrepancy in quality.
Btw, if you buy a metal pad in Europe you will pay about 200$ for a TX2000 with a full set of replacement arrows, and more than 500$ for a CF. For that price, I think I'm willing to take the risk. E1.gif

I'll let you know how it ends up.

Yeah maybe you have a point. The ones on eBay are usually refurbished too. That's where I got mine.

The first pad looks like it's one of those 9 panels RO rip offs, which seems better than this pad.

Oh and this is not the Imaging Forums so using [img] pads are USUALLY frowned upon.

The hell? Why did you pay $400 for something you can get for $120 or less? Moreso, why did you pay $400 for something other than a CF?

2 things

A ) Why the hell did u pay $400 for this pad when its $280 or so on liksang and on ebay and

B ) Do not get mad cause you got one of the few defects (not meaning people braking thw arrows and such just something not working) every company has its few that slip the tests you just happen to get it, why not exhange it for the same pad and if u still have problems then return it........defects always leak out unnoticed for all u know it could have also been something the mail people did why it was on its way to your house....think abou tit fed ex hardly ever cares what the word fragile means anymore.....to them it means THROW ME! but i mean dont go all around saying the pad is bad cause u got a defect....what u my frtiend did was not run a test but ran a review on a defected product......so in conclusion why should people think they will get non working arrows if yours was a defect out of the box.....id say give them another go and see what happens, and if u paid $400....u got ripped return this one and order from liksang cause those are the ones with good reps.....i decided to exchange my one i got in the mail for this pad cause mine has a 30 day warrenty and if somthing happens ill get my money back send it back and then just save for the CF although im only 150 and i heard for my weight this pad can take it for a good long while and i do take care of my stuff so i think it will last me.....ill post my thoughts on it when i get it in the mail

Hummm i need a better pad too, i could get a Cobalt Flux for about 380$ and receive it in a couple of weeks OR get a TX-2000 for about 200 $ near my home and play right away ... i think ill give TX-2000 a try. I have a soft pad that i paid 45$ and its still in great condition after 2 months, TX-2000 cant be that bad ... right? E15.gif
