I'm just trying to get an idea of how many people play DDR who are asthmatic, and wether or not it affects their gameplay. Sorry if this topic has already been covered
I am extremely asthmatic, and thus never had any interest in sports until I started playing DDR. I find although doing too many hard songs at once can trigger slight attacks, I'm generally not affected by it while playing. It's increased my stamina, and may have actually decreased the severity of my asthma. I'm just wondering if any other players find the same thing, or if they are affected more, or less.. or whatever |

i have asthma, but it has gotten a lot better over the last couple years. it usually doesn't effect my playing abilities, i can go longer than my friends who dont have asthma, and i can pass max300 heavy. _________________

I've had asthma since birth... I used to not even be able to walk up stairs (but I played 3 sports anyway), and although it's gotten much better as I got older I still get pneumonia and bronchitis once a year each, and even the slightest of colds will set it off.
But on that note, I play DDR religiously. Don't believe me? Well, I'm in the top 100 in NNR and I AAed the whole game on Singles in under a year. Booyah.
EDIT: Wow, I can't spell. I just fixed like 5 typos that I didn't even notice. _________________

I sometimes get it. For me it depends a lot on environmental factors (if it's a particularly dusty day, I tend to get it more easily). When I play DDR it only comes up occassionally or sometimes after I've really exerted myself, but it'll usually go down (at least enough to keep playing) if I take a short break (it works out well if I'm at the arcade and other people are playing; I can rest while other people take their turn). _________________

hmm, yeah. I used to be so bad with asthma, I get bronchitis all the time, and although I have a sturdy immune system, everything I get hits hard. ><''
but yeah, I find generally playing ddr has helped alot with fighting the severity of it. And I don't get short winded from walking uphill |

I have asthma. It does affect me during gameplay sometimes but usually only if ive been neglecting my general health. |

I have slight EIA (exercise-induced athsma,) but it really doesn't bother me that much when playing unless it's extremely dusty or extremely cold wherever I'm playing---and considering what I'm doing, the cold only matters for about 3 seconds. |

Yeah, i have bad asthma. I have to usually use my inhaler before i go to bed so i dont wake up in the middle of the night weazing. Probably why i cant consistently do LoM, MaxX and PSM heavy. |
