He said that wen u play it saves ur scores and does a couple other things(mind going blank) and i just started thinking wat if ddr had some special card that could be put in the machine that would save ur scores for ya and tell you ur records and stuff like that. wat u guys think???

for ddr machines, its backwards. If you have a memory card with compatible "link data", you can save you previous high scores to a DDR machine _________________

But the memory cards serve the exact purpose as what you are looking for!
You put your memory card in the machine on the side you want to play on. After it reads the memory card, your game goes as any other game would. Each time you play a song, the letter grade and the score gets recorded onto the card. You can also save edits on the memory card and play them on a machine (kind of another topic though)
Oh yeah, in order for the memory card to work on the machine, it needs to have link data on it. Take 5th mix for example, it saves a file onto your card that will allow the machine to save scores.

A card system aye?
But not a playstation memory card.
I sort of like the idea.
Beats buying a playstation memory card.
The card system could be like initial D or Derby Owners.
I love the idea!!!! Rock on!!!!!!! _________________

Arcade Forum>Memory Card FAQ
He might have used the credit card type thing as a place holder in line.
Konami does this in japan (NOT with DDR), its called eAmuse. its a network in japan and hong kong. You save your scores and buy stuff in games. _________________

He mentioned he was playing GoldenTee, a golf game. Not DDR. There are games where you use credit card like memory saving devices. _________________

doesn't it have to be a Japanese memory card? (unless you're playing an American version) but most machines I see are Japanese... |

You also mentioned about saving a place in line. That's the part I was emphasizing on. _________________
