|
|
I was told that freezes in A24 give much higher dance points than in previous versions.
This kind of makes sense because today i AAed payon oni and Minute waltz (zenos)
Any confirmation of this? and will future releases be the same as well?
I think its kind of cheesy, I want to get the AA because I earned it, not because i got a crapload of OK!'s and non combo steps.
any way you can change this? _________________

Aha! I thought I was getting AAs where I didn't deserve them...looks like I'm not partially insane... _________________

I've noticed this as well.. Although I'm not sure if it's actually easier or not, it does seem to give AA's a little easier. |

They noticed this very quickly on the FFR boards. Someone got 71 mil on Payon and it gave them a AA o_O. But it isn't all freezes because it happened on songs with very few freezes also. And what is this RC1 you speak of joe? _________________

"RC1" = Release Candidate 1
Stepmania 3.9 has finished alpha testing and is very near release (release version will be 4.0 I believe). This is good news for skinners, as there will likely be no more metrics changes. _________________

I think the weird scoring still exists in RC1 though. I felt like I got a couple of undeserved AAs. _________________

this is what the code in the metrics should look like (not the regular metrics, the data metrics)
Code: | GradeWeightBoo=-4
GradeWeightGood=0
GradeWeightGreat=1
GradeWeightHitMine=-8
GradeWeightMarvelous=2
GradeWeightMiss=-8
GradeWeightNG=0
GradeWeightOK=6
GradeWeightPerfect=2 |
and here's the path to those metrics: C:\Program Files\Stepmania CVS\data\StepMania.ini

I always thought marvelouses were 3 DP? OKs have always been 6, arcade and otherwise. everything else looks alright though. |

if marves were 3 than you could have a results screen that's all marvs and a great and it would be a AAA, and the statement "i've done better, but this was my first AAA on it" would never be true. the marv points always bugged me, so i turned them off. _________________

Without freezes, you would have to have 80 greats to AA Maxx Unlimited on Extreme, all songs with alot of freezes are like this wether on SM or arcade. _________________
