What do you meant you spent $50 on a system?

I bought Max2 + single cheapo, and then later, dual Ignitions from Vortz. I spent maybe $30 at the arcade over the course of the summer.

I mostly played at the arcade. Bought the computer version and some soft pads off eBay. Got past light mode and couldn't use my soft pads anymore so now I only play at the arcade.

When i first started, I found it in a las vegas arcade (i was only there for one day) but when i saw some guys doing heavy mode i was like 'whoa' so later my brother and i tried it, and failed horribly on light mode. Then we bought a ps1 just for konamix and have been playing ps2 ever since.

madrox you should get an ignition pad off ebay or something to play at home if your problem was only the soft pads

I thought i knew what i was doing. My brother bought it and was OK, and all the video we store in my room. So me and my friend Alex, "D.D.aRRR. Pirate" played as a dynamic duo all day until we could play 4 footers. We were very very bad and slow at learning. Now we are back in action as the Palmer and Alex team "P.A."

I first played at my girlfriend-at-the-time's after prom. It was on a Saturday night. Monday I ordered a pad and DDR USA. Generally I played for about 3-4 hours at home. Then if I wasn't working that night at my martial arts school I'd go play at the arcade for another 3-4 hours. On the weekends I'd generally go to the arcade and play for 3-4 hours (after playing at home for 3-4 hours).

Yeah...I was thin and in shape. Now I'm not =(

You're still the king. E13.gif

The first time I played was at Boomers!, back then 'Camelot Park'. It was USA and there were back then Ten Buck Tuesdays. So, yeah, I got around $60 worth of DDR for $10, every Tuesday for the first half a year. laugh.gif

Well, I first started playing a little bit at my friends parties he has almost every week. But eventually I got max2 and some pads, and I played a ton. From about 5 pm to maybe 2 am, where I collapsed and passed out on the pad. My friend was at my house at the time, too. Later that night I had to go to the bathroom, and I passed out again and fell into the bathtub.

Awww, man, I'm so sorry to hear that gayness made you quit DDR for a little while there. My gayness has never effected my DDR gameplay... come to think of it, it's never really been an issue. In fact, most of my homo friends.... hey come to think of it, the straight ones too... think I look pretty impressive playing DDR.

blink.gif

Anyway, I first played in Vegas, and then had a bit of a rest before I had found out that a local arcade had a DDR USA machine. God I think I was there at least 3-4 times a week playing.

It really sucks that particular arcade has since gone to hell frown.gif Probably explains the reason why I haven't been as "into" DDR latley (well, that and lack of new arcade mixes) though I try to motivate myself to play Ultramix online at least a couple times a week for an hour or so.
