Heres one when me and a friend of mine were playing in Reno...
Random Guy: "Do you know that you two look like the Backstreet Boys when you play?"
Me: "How much did you drink tonight sir?" _________________

Maybe it's because I'm the lone female in the group of DDR players where I play... and it makes me seem less threatening, but it seems like anytime a non-player has got a stupid question, I get to answer it.
"My kid wants to play! Can he play next?" (See that line of coins, lady? NO!)
"Wow, that looks like a good workout!" (Gee ya think?)
"How do you know which arrow to hit?" (*point at line of arrows*)
"Geez, do you play this game every day?" ("Couple times a week")
"Doesn't it get expensive to play this all the time?" ("Management lets me play for free to entertain you rednecks on Monday nights.")
One of my favorite "stupid onlooker" moments happened when my friend (who's quite good) was playing Tsugaru Apple Mix.
Stupid: "I know how to play that game."
Me: "Me too."
Stupid: "I'm almost as good as that guy."
Me: "I'm not that good, but I can pass that song."
Stupid: "Oh, I can pass that song EASY. Who's next?"
Me: "I am."
Stupid: "Can I play with you?"
Me: "Sure. "
Stupid: "You can pick the song."
Me: "Mmkay... how about Tsugaru Apple Mix?"
Stupid: "Sure, I can pass that song EASY." (begins trying to downgrade song to STANDARD or LIGHT by tapping front arrow furiously)
Me: "It's a Oni-only song."
Stupid: "Yea, I know that. I was just checking." (Proceeds to fail song miserably 10 seconds in.) _________________

"oMgF!!!111 d0 j00 h4v3 d15 g4m3 47 h0m3?" (Duh.)
"You suck. I can pass Maxx Unlimited with an A." (You mean on beginner?)
"Shup asian." (I'm IRISH, not asian you douchebag.)
"How do you know what arrows to hit?" (Everyone, say hello to Mr. I-dont-know-what-a-screen-is-there-forMan.)
"Only ugly people play." ( in dun b seein u postin pix of self on interweb cas ur faec is UGLEH das y fgt)
"Why does the game have a song called Sexy Plant?" (So we can have oral sex with the machine.)
"Man, why are you sweating? It's 23 degrees outside!" (Have you ever run and starting sweating? There's your answer.) |

Not a question, but a comment that pissed me off:
Chickwatchingmyfriendplay: I don't need a machine to teach me how to dance.
I so wish I would have been there. I could have said of few things to shut her up..
If someone who has never played asks a question, I don't mind answering them, but I do mind little punk n00bs coming up and saying " HA HA I could SO do that better than you!" Then they watch me play on heavy, get up and center on light, making it look like it was WAY harder than it is and fail. Kinda funny that they ended up getting the crowd. _________________

Well, there is one action that pisses me off more than anything. I go up to the machine when these tourist are picking their first song, I put my quarter on the machine, they stare at it, then take it off the machine. That puts me over the edge.
I also hate it when people come up when your in the middle of a 10footer and stick their head in front of the screen then ask, "If I put my quarter up, am I next?"
I really hate it when they ask you how much it is, at my arcade there is this huge yellow sign that says "DDR $1 per person" with an arrow pointing to the machine.
Why is that guy so much better than you?
Are you obcessed with this game?
But I really hate it when the preps that act ghetto, coming up to the machine and saying "That game is a gay way to learn how to dance."
Then there are the people that see me up on the machine, "Do you have a life?" |

Like many others said...
"Wow, how'd you get so good to be able to do that?"
Little kid after I get done:
"Hey, did you know you're on the TV?"
And probably my favorite of them all; not merely how long have you been playing, but:
"WOW! Was that your first time playing?"
(just finished CSFIL:SM and PARANOiA Rebirth, both Heavy)
...wow...

My friends and I do that all the time. We spend all our money on DDR then take turns asking random people for more money so that we can play another game. It really works, as long as you only ask for a quater or two. |

This girl that was friends with my best friend walks up to me...
Her:"Are you a DDR Chalenger?"
Me: "Um..... huh?"
Her: "Are you a DDR Chalenger?"
Me: "WTF are you talking about?"
Her: "Do you like play DDR real good?"
Me: "Yeah, sure why not..."
By now I'm getting annoyed... she had this really high pitched voice, ugh...
Her: "How good are you?"
Me: "I'm ok, other people are better." *tries to back off*
Her: "Do you have it at home for the PS2?"
Me: "Yeah, I do..."
Her: "You spend a lot of money on it?"
At that point I walked away. _________________

Yep...that's usually what happens anyway. Some retarded noob shows up in the almost empty arcade. You're playing your usual set and not doing bad, but not your best either. You figure it doesn't matter. No one is there to watch anyways. You turn to hear: "Is that hard?" "WTF??", you say to yourself. "You see me sweating blood don't you?! I'm freaking doing something that only a handful of people on Earth can conceive of!" You get off the pad after your songs, slightly annoyed, and go to the changer for more tokens. By the time you get back to the machine, the noob is on beginner mode. Your jaw drops as the noob hops and flinches to the painfully slow and few arrows of Butterfly. Behind the noob is a huge crowd of people, from out of nowhere, with a look of astonishment and wonder on their faces. "Wow! Look at that!" "Cool!" And the nail in the coffin: "He's/She's good!" After what seems like an eternity, the noob steps of the pad and goes over to the Soul Calibur machine. You hurredly, but cooly, pop in your tokens. You are eager to show the crowd how to really play. You turn around to gauge the size of your audience, and.........nobody. Everyone has scattered or vanished. No one is in sight of the DDR machine. Ahhh!!!! It makes me want to scream! _________________

Some questions/comments:
Some old guy: "Hey, I've seen this game on the news, I guess this is an exercise machine, you get quite the workout!"
Me: "uh...yeah...right" *selects the next song*
Some girl that wanted to play for the first time: "How do you browse through songs?"
Me:
Some kid: "I can't play this stupid game, I'm leaving."
Me: "Sweet he left 2 songs! can't really complain."
When I first started out, I used to play in Pladium in West Edmonton Mall, and my friend and I would play on Light mode.
Some snobby doggy: "OMG! They missed a step! HAHAHAHA!"
"This song is SOOO boring!" "Look, I'm one of them!(they exagerated the slowness of the song)" in all, they were just being obnoxious, and when they went to play, they were on standard, and we just left, because mocking them would mean that we would just sink to their level.
---
My sister can play DDR, and the thing is, she's 4. She's on light mode, and can get A's and B's. When we play together, about 30-40 people gather around, laugh, say comments like, "OMG! She can play better than I can!" or "OMG! She's soooo cute!" and some tourists videotape us and/or take pictures, which can be annoying. My parents don't care, they just sit back and encourage us to keep playing. |

Wouldn't it be easier to just answer the question than have to stand there and listen to Graduation 3 times in a row? |

"Can you tell me how to pass the Frozen Ray mission(s)?"
"Where did the Dance Play Settings go?"
"Arr UUu a monKEY?!?!?"

"Mod A before you lock this, talk to Mod B because they told me to do it here" Not really a question but still something I think is annoying to see.
Questions, probably everyone has heard and posted but meh
"Do you memorize the steps?"
"How do you read that fast?"
"That game is so gay, why do you play it?" _________________
