What questions do you hate that non DDR players ask?Mine would have to be "isn't there any Hip Hop."

Hehe, I like the one about Butterfly. Here's one: "I keep stepping on the arrows when they appear on-screen, why do I fail?"

this is a question a lady asked a kid at my arcade after he finished doing MaxX Unlimited on 8x. "Do you memorize the steps, or are you just really good?" laugh.gif blink.gif

this happened after playing a straight set of 10s...

"why are you so tired?"

o.O?!

followed by someone else asking: "how did you get that good?!"

and the answer: "there are much better players than me...one of them is up next. ask him"

I don't know... it's just a game!

The questions I don't like are the rhetorical ones that come off sounding critical or judgemental. For example:

"How much money have you spent on this game??"

"Why do all the songs sound the same?"

"Aren't you too old for this?"

here's one that my friend teases me with every time that i see him... "let them move is one of the best ddr songs!" "A and v ~for extreme~ suck disgust.gif !" it gets quite annoying
and another one that my other friend does... it's not really what he says, but i say don't return your feet back to the middle whatever you do. (he's coming off beginner mode onto light.) but it's seriously like i could yell into his ear and he would still return his feet. i seriously don't see what's so hard. and when he just gives up, he stomps around on my soft pad, braking it. arrgh frust.gif i mean, COME ON!!! *pant pant pant* i'm done... riiight.gif

"how do you do that?"
"i step on the arrows when they get to the top of the screen. why do you ask?"
here's your sign
"how did you get so good?"
"i played this game a lot."
here's your sign

"why don't you play something else?"
"because i'm remotely good at this."

"how long have you been playing?"
"a week."
"wow. really?"
"no"

" blink.gif "
"why are you staring at me?"

I played my game of DDR and a guy asked me "Do you play everyday?" I said no and walked away and played Beatmania.

One time I got, "Have you ever gotten an A?"

The only thing that really bothers me is when someone says that they could never do it.

"Did you memorize that?" (While playing backwards)
"Is that hard?"
"How do you know where to step?"
"Why is this music in Japanese?"

And Probably the stupidest question ever asked...
"How did you get so good?"

list of stupid asked questions:

why don't you stomp on the arrows?

(just got done playing a 9 foot heavy song and some big kid says)
yeah! that song looks so easy! you think i could do it?
me: err.. yeah sure

(plays and gives up about 28 arrows into the song) laugh.gif

"Hey I could do that" (after playing Daikenkai standard and getting a AA)
That question wouldn't annoy me so much if it wasn't a huge chinese guy who just got done playing a beginner song... in which he failed miserably might i add... because he was WAY off beat...

"how do you get so good?"

"do you play everyday?"

"how much weight did you lose playing this game?"

"isn't there any songs i would know on there?"

"how come it's all techno and rap kinda music?" (NOT ALL OF IT IS!!!!)

(as i'm playing at the arcade) "do you have this game at home?"
me: "yeah, i do. all three of them"
them: "THREE of them? how do those huge machines fit into your house? how does your mother take that kind of noise?" (i walked away at that point)
