I just installed my flip top. But I am having issues. It won't let me open up the cd drive door that you open on the ps2 and it wont load games. It just keeps trying to read them but stays at the home screen. What the hell did I do wrong??

EDIT: Well I'm not sure what I did, but it loads games now. However, the cd disc tray still sticks when trying to eject.

I found a good deal from www.ps2fliptop.com

They have the Green transparent case, and SMD. for 52.95. plus shipping.

I would consider that a good price since i've seen SM go for around 20 dollars.

Is the Game Hunter modchip for PSOne the same as the Game Enhancer Mod Chip? Plus what is the deal with entering a code. I'm going to get a 5th mix game and people keep saying you have to have an action replay to get it to work. Is this true?

Yeah, I'm also trying to get a hold of 5th Mix, but have a modded PS2 (gave my modded PSOne to a friend). Do I have to use a Gameshark to play it, or can I use my Swap Magic disks? And what Gameshark disk should I get (PS1, PS2??)?

Hi:

I know you probably got that question a lot, but please help...
I have a modded playstation 2 with jap. and north american ddr games. I also have Pal games, but I can not play them properly. The speed of the arrow is way too fast, the song ends abruptly, making the game unplayable. I know this is related to NTSC vs PAL frequency. Should I buy a converter? The guy at the store told me that I need to press the circle button before I start a PAL game to make it work correcly, but I can not figure out when I need to do that. Quite frankly, I don't think the circle button is going to change anything. What should I do?
By the way, does anybody know an antimodchip code for Dancing stage : Euromix? That game won't even play at all. Thanks

Ok im really confused. In the first post it says the flip top+ magic disc swap works good. And then there was someone in the last 64 pages that said that the swap discs dont work. We ordered our flip top+magic discs from consolsource or w/e and i was wondering if its gunna work or not. It sounds promising but im getting mixed feedback from many people. I really only want to know a couple things..
1. With my fliptop/magic discs, will i be able to play PS2 JP games, such as DDR Extreme/Party Collection AND Beatmania.
2. ok maybe its just that one, to elaborate i guess i want to know if the swap discs work with all import ps2 games on my american ps2.
And if anyone knows how this system works plz tell me. I dont see how swaping discs is going to make the ps2 read the import.. E19.gif hmmm
and NO I DO NOT have any type of mod chip or slide card. Plz someone help im waaayyy E19.gif and sorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere but i dont feel like wading through all the pages.

I've got a Matrix Infinity chip in a V10 PS2, it's supposed to be competition for the DMS3+ chip. I remember some talk of how to play PAL games (Dance Stage) on an NTSC PS2, well the Matrix Infinity will do it. They just released a new firmware for the chip that has the ability to make PAL/NTSC games work in other regions.

readmev13.txt wrote:

Infinity option configuration menu :
------------------------------------

Press TRIANGLE + CIRCLE to enter the configuration menu.

PS2 SCREEN FIX : OFF : Disables PS2 video fix.

COLOR : Games will be output on their original video mode (PAL/NTSC)
with color correction applied to match your PS2 region.

VMODE : Force video mode to match your PS2 region.

PAL60 : Force all games to NTSC with color correction.
Games will run faster but screen might need adjusting.

It's probably been asked before (and I've read the first few posts of this page too), but how long does a fliptop from ps2cover take to get here?

I need it by Friday, and it's been 2 weeks. So should it be arriving anytime soon?

I got mine for ps2cover-took a while, but it seems like these are better than some others since I've never had a problem.T'will take a while.

stay away from transparent covers. They're made from same stuff as CD case tops.
