I got new ddr shoes....They have bands over them and they slip on and they're made in the Uk. They have weird toe design but perfect for the arcade

I am not the slightest bit sad to say that I play in a pair of Wal-Mart track shoes. They cost five bucks, but I got them for free. When I got these, they felt a lot lighter then my Vans, so the AA's came pouring in.

I play w/Vans or DCs, but again I play flat footed. I guess you have a different play style than I.

what kind of shoes would you be refering to then? just wondering

Well, i bought new shoes for ddr.....they are just the exact kind i had last time...SWHOOSH BIZNATCH!

I play on a soft, slippery pad, and I don't wanna kill it with my big ole sneakers, so I play in ankle-braces for support, you know, the elastic ones that are open at the heel and the toe. It's pretty good, but when I get a metal pad I think I'm gonna be playing in my pool shoes, he he

All depends on what im doing. I play in shoes for every thing. Played bare foot on an arcade machine, have an imprint of a bolt in my foot, never will do it again. at home i have a modded pad, so shoes are best. for passing hard songs and getting AA's- Black Converse Lo tops. first ones i ever got, work well, but are getting holes. Hi tops cut off my circulation for fast songs so i dont use them for timing and learning to play flatfooted, dont really care about the grade or even passing- Vans, Converse Hi tops

My chucks (Irish green hightops) are the best shoes for DDR, in my opinion. Running shoes are too heavy, "skater" shoes are too heavy and bulky and scuba flipper-ish. The soles of my Chucks are very flexible and I can get where I need to go easily.

I play in regular sneakers. I'm really bad when it comes to buying sneakers (although I am a sucker for a shoe sale) so I've had these shoes since 2000. Nikes

At home on my Ultramix cheap pad, I use socks (bare feet make the pad move around too much).

Then on the machines I use my Payless shoes. They rock ma socks, dudes. Yeah.. haha. The shoes I have now are knock-off kswiss's, yup. White 'n pink. But old and dir-tay. I have new adida knock-offs(geez, anyone notice Payless steals design?) that are black and pink though, haven't tested them out on the machines though.

I play in my socks but I was just told that it's better to play in sneakers because your feet don't hurt as much as they do when you play in socks.
