when you play it.have u done it and if so what songs have u recorded as you played it?

A friend of mine taped me playing PARANOiA survivor the first time I AA'ed it. I didn't even realize he intended to tape me until about two seconds before the first arrow.

For a video project in my spanish class me and my friend made a DDR commercial. It was really cool. I wish i could download it on my computer somehow to show you people, but 1) I dont have the tape with me and 2) I have no idea how i could load it onto my computer from a VHS.

I tried to record my feet while I was playing Kind Lady to send to my friends on the internet, but it was a VHS tape. Darn.

Back when I was a total noob, we used to take the video camera and tape each other playing. I do it with my dad's digital camera now so I have lots of interesting videos. Arrowdynamic playing PSMO sitting in the middle of an ignition using his hands and passing it with a C

.

I've also had the local news come to my house and tape us playing. I have that recorded from TV. It's funny to look back on and I think of how much I'd show that video up today.

These days, most people will use the cameras in their cell phones. But this is just to record proof of AAAs and stuff like that.

I remember back in my newbie days, doing a spanish project with DDR in it. I FS'd Candy Double cuz my friends thought it would be cool.
Turned out that we only got a B...

I did a few short vids for coworkers who had no idea what DDR was. I taped two passes of each song and composited them together so the screen overlayed the footwork.

Here are a couple low-res WMV versions...

Were I to do them again, I'd change a few things. First up, I'd turn off all the background anims and characters - they just clutter up the overlay. Second, I'd orient the pad video to match the orientation of the arrows on the screen.

But for a first shot at DDR filming, they weren't too bad.
