Hmm....
- I go "Ahh. >_<" if I miss a step that I shouldn't've.
- When I gallop, I move my hands a lot more than most people do.
- I stole something some friends of mine do in Tsugaru - in the section with the crazy chaotic steps, before all the crossovers begin, we have a little ritual that we do, where we make this annoying sound that follows the beat of the steps. It helped me land those steps when I was still learning - I still do it!
That's about all I can think of right now... _________________

As others have said... doing the humpty-hump during Sexy Planet Oni is just plain a requirement. If you're not gonna hump your way though the step-jump, why even play the song?
When I'm playing twinbee, I always pull out the most indiotic grin I can manage and wave my hands around while doing the last few steps. People love that one.
I'm in the habit of failing LoM every time I play it.
When I fail, I tend to just walk off the pad between the bars. Even if it's on extra stage, I won't even wait for the score. If I pass, I invariably walk around the pad. I dunno what the deal there is.
If I'm really tired and doing a tiring song, the second the last step is over I just fall down on the pad in a tangled mess. It's ever cooler when the person you're playing with picked the song so you can tease them for trying to kill you (I did this to someone last night... hehe).
I always yell freeze during the stop in Sweet Sweet <3 Magic. I know most people do it for HV:AM... I don't... just SSLM... and sometimes Trip Machine Survivor |

On Orion.78 (Amuero Mix) Standard, I sometimes hop the 8th streams instead of stepping on them w/ seperate feet. Easy and slow enough to do it .
I also like turning to face towards the crowd after Let's Groove and B4U.
After (failing ) MaxX Unlimited, I fall on my knees/fall to the floor.
Since I'm used to the last crossover steps on Afronova Light/Standard, I don't even look at the screen.
After a particularly tiring song (i.e. MAX 300), I let out a big *WHEW*.
And on Holic STD., I do this cool arm-covering-face move while crossing over the last steps. Too bad I can't do it for Heavy . _________________

here are my habits:
before every song I play I rub the soles of my shoes so I can get all the dust off my shoes so I can get a better grip on the pads,
during the beginning part of Tsugaru, I move around in a Martial Art manner and pose a striking move at the freeze part
I start at a croutched bent over position and move with the music to an upright position in the beginning of "A"
and everytime I pass a hard song (now 10 footers) I yell yes!!! every time I pass em' _________________

I yell End of the Century at the last part of the song.
Sometimes I do eigth and sixteenth notes before the song begins to get used to the spacing.
If the song has a good beat I jump until it starts.
I sing Kind Lady and Freckles when me or anyone else plays it (which gets me some strange looks )
I put my hair behind my ears even during a song...it's a nervous habit so I do it more when I'm going against someone.
That's all that I know of, but my sister says I look really funny doing the gallops steps and the jumps during the 'we want you' part of In the Navy _________________

I'd probably get kicked out of certain CA arcades by the DDRers there, for I do the insane.
I sing along to Butterfly, Cow Girl, Waka Laka (when I'm not out of breath from the death run), I'm In The Mood For Dancing, Long Train Runnin', Higher, the parts to Break Down that I know, Hysteria, Super Star, and Blonde Girl. And several others whose names I have forgotten for the moment.
As for stance and poses, I do the bow during the Tsugaru freeze, during the mid-song no-arrow area in Matsuri Japan, and handplant the final arrow in Break Down. I'm also going to start nailing the final arrow in Era with my back to the screen (but with my foot, not my hand).
I hug and kiss the machine too (nice to know I'm not the only one). A good run equals a hug. Good PA warrants a kiss.
I also imitate the announcer. When I hit the start button from the title screen, I say it right along with him, "Let's DDR!" And if he tells me I'm a legend, depending on how well I did, I'll say either "that's right" or "not yet, not with (insert missteps here) on (insert song here)."
Ever notice that the announcer only ever seems to pull the "ultimate dance/buckets of tears" bit when you do horribly on a song? At least at my arcade. He never once said that with a good score present on the screen here. _________________

Sometimes when I running on streams, IE "Last Message", I extend my arms straight down and point my hands out, palms down, fingers straight and create what I have come to call "Mini Wings." Helps balance sometimes. Kinda fruity looking. |

on Paranoia KCET, I always turn around on the last steps.
on R3, in the beggining with no steps, I kinda slap my knees with the music.
on Tsugaru, I always do that Matrix thing where Neo bends back on the freeze arrows. |

I always tend to:
test the arrows at the selest style screen
switch between different songlist styles (alphebetical, bpm) a couple times
hold the bar with my left hand for only the last two simple steps in Drop Out
stop on the song directly above the one I am going to play, and then switch to it when I am ready
moan regretfully when i hit the freeze stop in max 300 _________________
