@e the Extreme announcer too actually... only time i get annoyed is if i'm having a bad day and he throws the 'did you have breakfast' or 'do you have a cold' comment riiight.gif makes me feel even worse for stuffing up frown.gif

I can't stand playing when 4th mix and announcer won't shut up tho ~_~ LOL more incentive to not muck with your combo too much ^_- "Oh no! Combos stopped!", "Combos continuing", "Oh no! Combos stopped!". I had that all in a row once -.- I wish he wouldn't talk over the music so much frown.gif

I've always thought the announcer was a pain in the a$$. I mean really... don't lie to me saying I "Showed us the ultimate dance... thank you very much... I can't stop crying.. buckets of tears!!" ... Oh give me a break!!
And then the "We have the kiiiiIIIIng of Dance!!" disgust.gif

I just want to be able to choose how to be ridiculed, thank you E15.gif

Oh God yes! The announcer should either be de-programmed from the game, or he should say crueler things:

Like "You disgrace Japan," or " EEEE, for retarded."

I personally don't care...
I don't even pay attention that much so it doesn't bother me. I'd be kind of boring if there were no announcer...
They should bring the 4th/5th Mix announcer back...
He owned!!!

Actually I recall a time where I was on my way to AAA'ing Midnite Blaze and I was totally focused 100%...then the announcer said something though I honestly forgot because I was too frustrated when I got 1 great...because I heard an outside voice and lost focus...

so yeah...I haven't really liked the announcer / played DDR since...bad experience for me.

Just out of curiousity, WHO IS the MAX announcer?

Are you sure THL was 1-5, I thought he was 6-EXTREME after listning to his interview on DDR Spot.

DDR Solo 2k's announcer was such a doggy, ugh. Is she the one in UM too?

When I first heard the announcer, I could tolerate him, but he's just slowly getting on my nerves. Anytime something is said in a foriegn language (i.e. when you fail pretty quick) it gets me pretty worked up. Not so much anymore as I'm pretty clear on what it means. I don't mind the (insert random number combo here) but most of it gets repetitive and annoying.

Half the reason why I play DDR (and most video games for that matter) is the music. The announcer can really detract from that factor.

There really should be an option to turn it off.

Well, far as I can tell the announcer CAN be turned off in all of the PS2 and XBox versions.

The XBox announcers were the most annoying by far, sounding like they'd inhaled massive amounts of helium. Thank goodness I was able to turn them off for all functions.

Also, they're the only announcers credited in the booklet. I don't have it with me right now, though.

If I needed to, I'd just go to Game Options and turn "Voice" off.
As far as I know you can't do that in arcades though. x_X

But I never do. The announcer guy's awesome. Especially in DDRMAX. He's got so many UFO sightings I think he should be working in Area 51.

That darn announcer guy! frust.gif ! When he announces that you have gotten up to 100 combos, I automatically start trying not to mess up. Then I really do. SO distracting. Or when he says, " Do you have a cold?" or, " There's always a tooomooroow." right when you fail! Just be quiet announcer guy!
