"what goes up must come down some what" is what I always heard... say you practice like mad and go from barely doing 3 footers to easily doing 8 footers.. after a bit you will mostly like slump down to barely passing 7 footers for a while but then jump up even higher and fall back a little bit again... atleast thats how I work in DDR riiight.gif

Yeah sometimes. Sometimes I'm just out of it and songs that I usually AA or SDG I end up getting A's and B's. frown.gif

It's very evil and lame. :-/

Not all at once, but every once in a while at little chunks at a time. For example, sometimes I completely screw up on the gallops on r&p and i can't get the rhythm right. I just keep playing it till I get it back E4.gif

Right now I have lost my touch. I have been playing initial d for about 3 weeks and I haven't even touched a ddr machine since then. So I played yesterday and I was getting around 15-20 greats on songs I usually get under 5 on. So I guess I just need to practice and get back in it.

I sometimes lose my touch...
I hate it when that happens. I would play a song I know I could beat then fail miserably and wonder why...
If that happens, I take a little break from playing like a few weeks then start playing again. That always helps me.

actually, yeah. I've only played for a few months and my "touch" is already leaving frown.gif I'm playing the same I always have but I seem to be getting sloppy. Stamina has decreased, can't move my legs as fast, sometimes picking the wrong step pattern that make easy step sequences into big problems, ect. I think I'm just forgetting to have fun that's all. Some days are just way off for me! I'm just not feeling the beat, or something, because on those days my grades are terrible! After an hour tops, i'm back to par again. (By playing the easy 6's and 7's to get the feel back)

Yeah, I lose my touch a lot. Whenever I don't play for 3 days or so. The only way for mr to get it back is practice practice practice. but there is not much else that helps.

Ever since I replaced my old DDR mat when the down panel broke, I've been out of touch.
How I can tell:
Maxx Unlimited: Merely a C. ON 20 FREAKING PERCENT SPEED.
Radical Faith: I'm usually off by about 2-5 beats of a AA. Now the best I can do is a B-D.
Dynamite Rave: Same story as Radical Faith
Twilight Zone: Wtf? I can't even follow this anymore! and I used to pass it.. T_T

Etc etc.

Point blank: Gone too long without DDR since Sunday the 15th.

i barely played at all for like a month or two a while back. my legs felt like bricks at first, and i had trouble passing any 9 footer at all. i just practiced a lot and eventually i got back to where i was, stamina and all.

I agree with Onimugla, you need to keep having fun to regain your touch. losing the fun is worst of all

I used to be able to beat CSFILSM all the time, but the last six times I played that song, I've only beaten it once.
