Have you guys ever met any of your boy or girlfriend or even just a normal friend while playing ddr? Because this is how me and my best friend Aaron met.

yess yess, i met my dear boyfriend by the ddr machine

man i love telling my story.. it makes me happy. get ready for a long one.

well one day in the arcade, i was checking out this dude playing. and i got all intimidated cause i thought he was really good, and a threat to my greatness (i really wasn't that good). well i went up and played, then left, then came back, and he came up to me and said, "damn, your pretty fuckin good." and then we talked, about ddr this, and ddr that, and traded AIM sns. well online we only one had one real conversation, where we made this bet on a ddr game. if i won, he'd buy me dinner, if he won, i'd have to kiss him. and we planned on meeting on 1/25/02. then on that day i brought some friends along, and went on our merry way to the arcade. i saw him playing, and came up to him. and we played. i won the first song, he won the second song, and he picked the final song, and it was Orion .78/heavy. and i wasnt very good at the time so i got pissed, and being the bitch that i am, i pushed him off the machine, and he got this huge scratch on his left arm (he saved the paper towel he used to wipe up the blood and gave it to me one year after

). of course, automatic disqualification for that one. so i apologized, we hugged, and then we walked around the mall a bit. then he had to go to work, so i walked him to his car, and in the most romantic voice possible, i whispered, "dont leave me." haha. well of course he stayed, cause i'm fucking awesome. we were out there in that parking lot for about 45 minutes. and that was the night i experienced my first kiss, found my first real boyfriend, a first fell in love.

man reminiscing about that night makes me happy

now its been 2 years and 7 months and we're stronger than ever.

I met 5 people just today... they're forcing me to go back tomorrow night for more DDR.
2 of them didn't even play DDR, they were just obsessed with watching me I suppose.

I've met quite a few people through playing DDR, but not all of them make good quality friends. Quite a few of those I've met are the jobless guys with no hygeine and little to no self esteem. Another thing I've noticed is a lot of manic depressants that play.

I'm not saying this as a generalization of those that play, just they types that I've met while playing.

Like sexual taco, I played my first time in Abilene, met a nice young lady, but I didn't talk to her that night. I am a shy one, and hoped that I could find her online...thank-you internet. We started chatting and getting to know one another. We grew with one another, but then something amazing happened two days before Christmas, she gave me the bad news of going our separate ways, since she is going to College Station, and I am stuck in Abilene. We still are friends to this date. Hard to get a hold of one another since we are both college students.

Not going to specific, but I know she will find this post soon enough. :-D

No i haven't met anyone at the arcade while playing ddr, although I do know that alot of girls were fixing their eyes on my brother when he played dance dance revolution on heavy. ( well he is 17 years old and my mother keeps asking how on earth he does not have a girlfriend yet but still, i have to be jealous of my older brother, they were actually my age, not even his age either except for a few)

Anyhow, no i never met anyone, All I did was get a crowd once when I played sakura and passed

It would be interesting if I did meet someone but, no it has never happened yet.

I've met quite a few people. Some make the strangest first introductions...such as "Dude, look, theres a chick playing ddr! she's like...a girl! and she's playing. dudeeee."

Others hit you with the more casual "hello"

Either way, playing DDR is an awesome way to make new friends because it already gives you a similar interest and something to talk about. It also gives you someone to go play with so you aren't lonley when you play XD

I've made quite a few good friends, and a few acquantences as well.

I met a few people here on DDR freak in a regional forum, then i met them at the arcade they go to. I don't know them well enough to call them a friend, but i guess if i went to the arcade more often i could become friends with them. The only problem with that is i need money to play, and right now i'm flat broke... Plus the arcade is like, 30 minutes from my house and i'm out of gas right now..

I meet most of my ddr friends through tournements and these forums. Everyone is so friendly it is amazing. These people include:

Spork (first ddr tourny)
Joze (don't know him well, but know his name and chatted a bit)
Swivel ( Basically got to say "hi" but like to get to know more)
Rychan ( had to face her in Tourney a few weeks ago but she was nice (she gave me candy ^.^))

and I would LOVE to get to know more people! I am very social and love to meet new friends!
