HEY!HEY!HEY!
Y'all remember Bust-A-Groove 1 and 2 for the PS1? I thought that game had a lot of good songs, cool dance moves but it really never spawed a third sequel. I thought the first was off the hook, the second was ok. I dunno..anyone else thought this game had potential? Ok, that is it, lates

Yes, it was a great series (I own both games and will never ever sell them.
The gameplay was pretty limited. What made the game great was the music and characters (especially in the first one).
I would love to see the Bust A Move 1 songs and characters in DDR! That would rule... |

Yeah, it's a shame "Dance Summit" didn't catch on-- I only got to play it once but it was pretty cool. As for the old PS1 Bust a Groove/Move series, I give those games a lot of credit for really being the games that got me into DDR. _________________

i had bust a groove the day it was released here in america, and owned that game up by beating it with every character, without missing one arrow or button. ....yeah... i didnt have much else for music games cuz bemani games didnt exist yet, and i was already very tired of pa rappa the rapper.
i got bag2 but i never liked it as much as the original. heat's song and bio's song were the only ones i really liked, and i just couldnt get myself to like the others. though, i liked every song from bag1. _________________

I'm like that to. The whole vibe of BAG was tight. Then, with BAG2, it was like... uhm... okay. I mean, with BAG, the theme song was tight, the mode select music was tight. Everything musically about that game was fitting. I loved Strike's, Diamond's and Kelly's tracks.
BAG2's music just didn't have the right flow to me. It was more 'videogamey' and less 'top 40 sounding' I would think that for a videogame that's music based, you'd want to sound as far and away as typical 90s videogame music as possible.
I still liked BAG2, but not as much as the first game. I play the first game just to listen to the music every now and then. |

Yeah, I knew all about the music production change. It was a big deal as I recall in all of the reviews of the Japanese version. |
