the last few weeks i spent vacationing at the cape.(cape cod for those of you geographically unaware E4.gif )
of course i had to check out a few arcades with ddr there..
and this one night i walk in, put my quarter down, since that is the general DDR rule in arcades.
as i was about to go up and put my money in the machine, this old man taps me on the shoulder and points towards 2 little boys.
"they have been waiting to play for a long long time..", he starts. "Cant they just play NOWWWW?!?!?"
as i start to try to explain to him about the quarter rule he just keeps yelling and throwing a hissy fit.
i start to give in and back down and just told him that they could play.
but lo and behold- -
this random kid, comes in and takes over.
strongly assures him, better than i ever could, how everywhere you'd go the quarter rule applies..and that its been that way for a while.
he basically shut him down.
and i got to play another game in peace.
that whole night i spent talking to him about everything(well, mostly about DDR..haha)
but i never got his name or anything.
i just know that he's local and stuff.
and i cant get it out of my head because he saved me from this senile 60 year old, and i dont think i ever thanked him for that.

sigh.

in conclusion:
has something like this ever happened to you?

Maybe DDRFanatic04 is a girl?

But yeah...I've never had some guy talk to me, and then I couldn't stop thinking about him for the rest of the night. I've never had scary old men yelling at me either...nope. This has never happened to me before.

Something like that has happened to me but instead of an old man it was a crazy woman. Her daughter wanted to play but I had my coin up. When I went to play she yelled at me. So I let the little girl play a game, then once she was done with her game she started to put in more coins. Then I tried to explain to her the coin rule but her mother screamed at me to stop harassing her daughter. I was then very frightend so I just let the little girl play.

Yes, but in different situations.

I have had small chit chats with other local players, but I never got any of their information.

Time to move on.

Step One: Put a coin on the machine
Step Two: The people play in order of the first coins layed down.
Step Three: Get your quarter, and play.

Example: You are the only person there, then another person comes and puts a quarter to indicate that he is next. Before you get done, 3 other people put their quarters up there. When you get done, you put a quarter there after the next person takes his. So you have to wait till its your quarter before you can play again. That way everybody gets a equal chance of playing.

If you wanted to call him GAY, then you should've just said it, instead of some lame-o, overused Japanese acronym that a lot of people mistake for an actual word.

Anyway, no. It's never happened to me.

1) Play Street Fighter 3: 2nd Impact, or Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike.
2) The guy is Hugo, one of the Andore's from Final Fight.
3) The girl is actually a guy.
4) Let's stay on topic.
