DDR Pad arrows, and japanese Myths.

If 4 is an unlucky number in Japan, why does DDR have 4 arrows? Is it because there are 8 alltogether on the pad. Is that the reason why DDR SOLO has 6 arrows?

4 and 7 are bad numbers because in japanese the word shi is used in the name.shi is evil. its just superstition though, like saying its bad for a cat to cross your path.in all reality what does it matter? even though some of there buildings over theyre skip the number 4 and 7.

Maybe because there are four cardinal directions?

Not everything has to do with good or bad luck. A "Baker's dozen" is 13, but there's nothing "unlucky" about that concept.

you would get 12 if you asked for a dozen.. a bakers dozen is 13. Geez I learned that when i was 5.

its like asking, why um2 using 16 arrows with 4pads.

I guess they dont want to copy Pump it up since it uses 6 arrows. No im not counting the middle button for it. so blah.-+
