Ok, here are a few tips on how to spot a DDR poser you all can add to the list...

1) They always play the same song...

2) Play around big crowds even though they suck...

Just keep adding this is kinda like a game exept more fun...

And what's the point of berating them? If they wanna be posers, just let em be. Going "omg hes a pozar he suxxx!!!111" is just as bad as being one, in my view.

My 2 cents here, take em or leave em!

I don't know if this qualifies as "being a poser", but, people who look for songs like Sandstorm and Days Go By on arcade machines are teh funny.

Nah, I think it simply qualifies as "home-to-arcade" transition. But it's still kinda funny, though.

*waves* I'm guilty of that >_> blame the fact that I've only played in an arcade about 2 times.

What if they played only 3 - 4 songs because they don't like the selection?

I'm sorry you feel that it is the mission of every arcadegoer to act in a manner accordant with your wishes. How about you get over yourself and let them enjoy the game however they want?

There's a huge difference between posers and newbies.

Newbies play the same song on light because they know they can do it and they have fun on it. Hell, that's what I did for most of the beginning of my campaign.

Posers are people who jump other people in coin lines when an audience forms and do crap like Rhythm and Police on 1.5 reverse boost dark hidden.

True... One time I went to play and there were these 2 girls playing on Beginner. I put up a coin and walk away. As I'm walking away, I hear, "Hey, thanks!."

n00bs

Also, to add to the list.

11.) They are awesome at like 2 difficult heavy songs, but can barely pass anything else no matter how easy it is. IMO, that isn't exactly the same as playing the same song over and over.

I wear sandals to my arcade, and I take them off to play. I then proceed to do CSFILSM, HVAM, and Sakura in the same set (after a warm up, I've learned that the hard way...). And I get an A on all of them. On heavy.

Playing in sandals or barefoot does not make someone a n00b. I'd be more worried about someone wearing huge boots or high heels and cracking the arrow/breaking the pad in general.

I'm sick of people knocking my style of play. At least try it yourself before saying how bad it is.

I didn't realize you could be a poser at DDR...
Just don't worry about it, I could care less if there posers or not. DDR is supposed to be fun, not bagging on people for being posers or whatever.
